< 12 Post HS CC Credits "Freshman" Placement with DE AA?

D hopes to be accepted to UF College of Engineering out of HS with AA from DSC and < 12 post HS credits.

I gather that if HS grad has <12 post HS credits that they should apply as a "Freshman".

Transfer students (non DE) are eligible to apply to the College of Engineering as a Junior if they have completed 7 of 8 core classes (or something).

DE "Freshmen" with <12 post HS college credits are placed as a an underclassman, or upperclassman by the admissions folks.

Where would my D be placed in the college of engineering if she hasn't completed the 7/8 core classes at time of application?

Best I can tell UF students either enter as a Freshman, or as a Junior. I'd be OK with her entering as an underclassman, but she might be ready for UD classes too.

Probably questions for UF folks, just thought I'd ask here first. Thanks.

Call the admissions office to get the definitive answer!

The UF’s website says she would need to meet the major prerequisite course requirements but I would think Freshman (vs. Transfer) have some flexibility.
