14 credit semester?

For my freshman fall semester at the U I am planning (tentatively) on taking Calc 1, Insect Bio, Intro to Cultural Studies, and Anthropologies of Death. However, this only adds up to 14 credits. Is this too low? I know most people take 15-20 credits.

I don’t want to overload myself, but at the same time I also don’t wish to take “too long” to graduate (although I’d be alright with 5 years). Any advice would be much appreciated.

In the mean time, I’ll keep playing around with Schedule Builder and try to make a 15-16 credit schedule that works for me. I’m just finding it a bit hard because a lot of classes have only 15 minutes between them which is usually not enough time to get from one building to the next. Thanks for reading!
