1430/1600 too low?

I have a 1430 M + CR (710 math, 720 CR) superscored. I'm mainly concerned about the math, though.

Usually people say to try the SAT II Math II, which I did, and I got a 750. What would Harvard think if I got a 710 math SAT I and 750 math SAT II?

Also, is the 1430 too low? Thanks!

All Ivy League schools use the 2400 SAT scale to calculate your Academic Index: [The Academic Index - Ivy League Admissions Key? - College Confidential](http://www.collegeconfidential.com/academic_index.htm)

What is your writing score?

800, 12 essay ^. So they won’t even calculate the /1600 score?

Do you think this (or 33 ACT) isn’t competitive enough for SCEA? :(

I was told that most use a 4000 score, the SAT1 and two SAT2s. But you have to understand that these admissions offices are looking for reason to eliminate and if there is a low score in the mix, that could be reason to do so.

I would have a 3730, in that case (750s on Math II, Chem, USH). Do you think they’d look at my math score a little more leniently because of the better math II score?

Your test scores indicate that you are a qualified applicant, so if you apply and are rejected, it will not be because of your test scores. It’s important to remember that Admissions is not a meritocracy; students with the “best” scores do not always get accepted over students with lesser scores.

Based upon the concordance table. you’re better off going with your SAT scores: [Compare ACT and SAT Scores | ACT](http://www.act.org/solutions/college-career-readiness/compare-act-sat/)

Thank you!! Very true, I think my SAT of 2230 is closer to a 34 (2250) than a 33 (2180). Plus I have a perfect essay. I have one more question though… so sorry! lol.
Do you think a good amount of others applying for SCEA will have 34+s or 2300+s? Or do you think there could be a fair amount of 33s and 2200-2290s? thank you! appreciate it :)

FWIW: According to the below blog, many kids apply with 34+. Your test scores are fine. Stop focusing on them and start focusing on your essays!

“If I had one candy-coated chocolate for every kid I’ve interviewed with an ACT score of 34, I could fill an industrial-size bag of M&Ms that Costco sells for $8.99.”

What you have done with your academic ability is more important than the #'s.

thank you everyone! your advice has been invaluable :)

@gibby, i think my common-app essay will be VERY good, and I have very good and unique ECs, so I hope this can put me at an advantage over the kids with 2300+ SATs. Thank you!!!
