15-page paper for AP Chemistry!

I have to write a 15-page paper for AP Chemistry due December 1st. I am getting the topic today. But it should be about a Nobel Prize winner/chemists. How should I manage my time in the two weeks that I have? Here is my projected plan:

November 16, 17, 18 - Research (Gather all information)
November 19 - Create an outline for paper
November 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 - Write a first draft (all 15 pages)
November 27, 28, 29, 30 - Revise first draft (add/delete any information). Make final draft.
November 31 - Hand in 15-page paper.

Is this a good plan for splitting up the 15-page paper into two full weeks? What do you guys think I should change? I have to start working on research tonight. In the meantime, I am going to go to school. Thanks.

Ouch! What kind of mischief did you get caught doing to earn this sentence!

Definitely spend a lot of time the first few days to make sure you have a good topic and outline. There's no point writing 10 pages on a topic you absolutely hate and cannot make 5 more pages out of.

That sounds like a good plan. If it were me I probably end up doing it the weekend before, maybe even the night before lol. I procrastinate way too much.

Good plan! I wish I was that organized and disciplined.

ya it sounds great, just make sure you stick to it.
Good Luck!

dang. i took ap chem last year, and the longest thing i wrote was a lab report. green crystals, for those of you that know what i'm talking about.

but that plan sounds superb.

(i can't believe you're writing a paper on a nobel prize winner/famous chemist in AP chem when, in all actuality, nothing like that is on the AP test. i hate assignments like that.)

i find this hard to believe...

wow. I've had papers that long but I never make plans like that. Actually I make them, I just don't follow them. I've learned how to write an A paper in a few hours the day it is due at 2 a.m.

Therefore, I have no credibility but the plan looks amazing to me. maybe spend a little longer researching. Researching can take a long time.

^ what school do you go to? I had to do that freshmen year.

a magnet in nj

if you were asking the op im sorry for being extremely self-centered. even if it wasn't intended for them, im still sorry for that.

lmfao 15 pages on what???

LOL the longest thing I had to write in Chem was a 5 page double spaced paper on recycling after the AP test.

Wow, that sounds much more organized than I usually am. Typically I end up writing 30-page lab reports in a night.

Och, 15 page paper for Chemistry? I did that type and length of writing for the humanities only. Meh...good luck

We have a 6 page AP Chem paper on "Modern Materials"--how generic

but then a 10 page APUSH paper on Iraq and a 10 page AP Physics paper on thermodynamics all 3 due beginning of december

it never fails to amaze me how some people think overexaggerating how much work they have makes them cool.

im a friggin 3rd year in college - history major - never written a paper over 9 pages in my life. the longest thing i'll have to write is my 4th year thesis/seminar...20-30 pages...1 paper over an entire semester.

i'm writing a minimum 14+ page report on...any ethical issue in chemistry (has 6 parts, have to argue pro and con) in plain old honors chem...so no, i don't think he/she is exaggerating their workload

You're incredibly lucky...either that or you're single-spacing your papers.
