Took SAT and got score of 1560. I want to go Duquesne University. How is 1560 for Duquesne?

Seems like you got some of a chance.

bumpppppppppp and I am going to take SAT again in May.

Not an extremely high or low SAT score for the school…We would need to know things like GPA and ECs to give an accurate chancing.

GPA could be 3.30 UW and 3.45 w or 3.33 UW and 3.51 W depending. UPward trend in grades freshman year GPA 3.1 uw and 3.25 W but since upward trend been strong. Key Club 4 years, Varsity Indoor/Outdoor Track 3 yrs. SADD 2 yrs, Hospital Volunteer, and Library Volunteer, and more.

GPA is a bit low. I personally don’t know anybody that has been accepted with a 3.3 (I live in Pittsburgh/a lot of people from my school apply to Duquesne). That being said your GPA is not so low that it is unrealistic. If you have not already applied write really good essays and get great recommendations.

Duquesne: High match

Do you have a safety?

Catria- What does high match mean?

That’s about ~30-40% chance to get in…

Based on stats what are soon other colleges in Pittsburgh area I could get in? Am looking into going for medicine

If you are a girl Chatham, but they don’t have the greatest pre-med program. You could also apply to a campus that is not the main campus for Pitt and then try transferring after a year or two. Really Pitt is the best school in Pittsburgh for pre-med.

ArtsyGirl13 no am not a girl. Yea Im strongly considering transferring to Pitt from whatever college I go to. What other schools could I get into asides Pitt branch campus and Chatham.

Your SAT is at the 25th percentile. Move it up a couple of 100’s and it’ll look good for Duquesne University.

You could probably get into Point Park, though I doubt that school would be a good fit for you…

Also could get into IUP and Laroche. I will have to raise my SAT score a couple 100’s and will work on that for Duquesne. If I get into Duquesne I will be really happy, but keeping options open in case I don’t get accepted there.
