18 Credit Hours Too Much?

This fall I'll be a freshman, I'm going to be taking Biology and the lab, College Algebra, a philosophy of religion, sociology, and I’m not really sure. I'm also going to be taking a couple equestrian classes that are 1 credit hour each. So all together its 18, I won’t be working then and I don't party will it be too much?

You shouldn’t have too much trouble with that schedule, especially if you don’t have to work. But if you’re concerned about your ability to handle it, take a lighter course load your first semester so you can better accurately gauge how many hours you’re capable of handling per term at your school. Many freshmen do this. However, the classes you listed seem pretty tame, so I’d imagine you wouldn’t be too bothered.

Get ready for an intense time in “Philosophy of Religion”. My friends have taken that class and it was a killer…

Anyway, your schedule seems balanced, and since you “don’t part too much” then you should be fine.

Good luck!
