So SOMEBODY tell me what 1835 Hinman is like? Is it a good thing that I got this or is it gonna make me commit suicide? lol. do help though. i'd like some info on the quality of the dorm, the social life, and where you would rank the dorm in comparison the others...

Good dining hall, set up in suites, air conditioned, I guess it depends on who your roommate is and how your suite is. But plenty of people live there and like it, don't stress.

the food there is ammmmmmmazing....mmmm

don't freak out...1835 Hinman would have been my first choice if transfers weren't shafted.

im there too... in a suite... hope my suite-mates are cool... maybe you're in it!? oh well... might as well make the most of it

Also, if you're in mostly south campus classes it's sooooooo close. And you might have a view of the lake... And you're close to the beach.
It's a good dorm. :)

the only downside to 1835 is the size of the rooms ... you'll probably want to bunk your beds in order to maximize your open space.

I guess I can get rid of my rope! Your info has been most reassuring. How far of a hike is it to Arts and Sciences and music? I'm a dual degree major. How much time do I need to allocate between classes?

well..to MAB, it's a short walk...less than 5 minutes...to Reg, it's about the same.....and it depends what CAS classes you're taking...if you're in tech, it's a good 15 minute walk...maybe even twenty....but you could have class in fisk, which is just across the street

social life, in particular, as compared to other dorms?

being south campus, it isnt as crazy as good old bobb-mc...but it's a decently big dorm, so you'll be alright..it all depends on who you make friends with really...and each year the dorms will have a different dynamic

Bobb smells like vomit

only sometimes! haha...but i love it anyway
