18th Birthday coming up what do I want?

So my 18th birthday is in a couple of weeks and I don't really want anything. I'm really just thankful to have my family and all the support they give me. That being said, my dad insists on buying me something since it's like my last birthday at home before college. He suggested an iPad but I really don't think I would use it. I spend a lot of time studying so I don't have any hobbies except except working out and listening to music.

I would really love something that lasts forever. Something I can always look back and remember my dad by despite our somewhat rocky relationship. I'm a guy and I don't wear earnings, necklaces, bracelets, rings or any jewelry. It's so difficult thinking of something that I'll use AND keep forever.
I was thinking maybe having us to travel somewhere together like Death Valley and go biking together since we both really like that and have talked about it several times. I know we'd have a blast and I'd have memories that I could keep forever.

Suggestions?
thanks

Seems like you already have a pretty good idea of what you want. Why don’t you do some traveling?

I agree with Woof, you should go on your trip to Death Valley! And take lots of pictures

find a better spot than death valley though…you can do better

Yeah, I may have to choose somewhere other than Death Valley because we’re from the midwest so it’s quite expensive to go out that way. That would be my top priority spot though since we’ve been there once when I was about 13-14 years old. We road bike so even though the Appalachians would be awesome to trail bike through, we don’t have those kinds of bikes.
Thanks for confirming!

@rapfan: I don’t know what you’re talking about. Death Valley has insane XC trails.

Maybe you can postpone your birthday gift and hit up Mammoth or North Star during the summer.

@rush10 yeah cept its…well…a desert. im mean in the sense that there are probably more scenic bike routes and such

Nook/kindle

Brew up some death juice…

A really nice, expensive watch. It’ll last you forever and ever and you’ll use it off and on hopefully! :)
