I'm a freshman and I'm taking Human Geo. I just wanted some advice because this is my first AP I have ever took. What should I expect and I don't want to panic if I don't know any of the FRQ's? Any advice for a freshman? I will be taking AP World History next year.

You will be fine. I took my first AP class last year and this year I’m taking three. Yes, it’s stressful, but you’ll be great! Be sure to bring pens and pencils (no mechanical) and arrive to the testing center 10 minutes or so before they tell you to get there. I heard human geography is a fairly easy AP, so don’t sweat it; everything you learned this year will help you. If you don’t know one or two of the FRQs you will be fine (guess! partial credit is the best on APs- on chemistry last year I couldn’t do 2 full FRQs, guessed on them, and still received a respectable 4). There is .0001% chance that you wont know any of them and even if you don’t, who cares? Colleges don’t see your scores until after you get in to determine whether or not you get credit for any of the AP class taken. Relax, eat a healthy breakfast, and go to bed at around 9 or 10. You’ll be great.

human geography is pretty easy
on one of my essays i wrote absolutely nothing correct. like i got zero points on it and i still came away with a 5

I haven’t really studied for it, but I’ve read every night. I am just worried about the models, that’s it and not great with vocab. I got a 3 on one practice test. So, if I did bad college’s don’t see the scores until after I get in? I usually do better with the FRQ’s since I’m good at writing overall. I know how to seem like I know what I’m talking about.

well, you self-report your grades to colleges…so if you don’t want to report it you don’t have to, but if the college sees that you took an ap and you don’t report a score, they think you did bad or did not take it.

don’t worry, last year i took bio for my first one and did fine, just review this week and get a good night’s sleep.

My teacher said college’s look at improvement. Like if you a 3 this year and get a 4 next year and then a 5 the following year. I’m going to study 2 hours a day from now to Friday. And I’m going to go to bed at 8PM the night before. I’m just really nervous, plus I have so many finals this week and next week. I can’t forget about them and let my grades go down, but I have to do good on the AP Test.
