1st Semester Senior Grade Drop

I've been keeping my extracurriculars up a lot, but my grades have been dropping junior and senior year. I had 2 B's and 4 B's in junior year 1st and 2nd semester, respectively. I am currently in senior year and have 3 B's, 1 C+. I'm really going to try and persuade my teacher to bump that C to a B, but she doesn't seem too lenient on the whole grade inflation thing. How badly will my transcript jeopardize my application? I've gotten 4.0's fresh and soph year, and I know a downward curve in grades is an obvious red flag. My UW GPA after the 1st sem grades gets finalized will probably be a 3.6... which isn't too bad? I've never gotten a C, and I'm really panicking right now since I doubt that 78% is going to get bumped.

Hate to break it to you man, but I’m pretty sure that no school likes seeing that kind of dip.

Have you been accepted to Rice and you are trying to figure out if your acceptance will be revoked? Or are you wondering what effect your grades will have on your pending application at Rice?
