B Fest, Senior Year

<p>I applied for Rice regular decision and I think I have an ok/ decent shot. However, my senior year is not looking too good. My unweighted GPA was like a 3.94 (weighted: 4.4) or something of that nature coming into senior yr. In my first semester (4 classes, it's a block schedule), I did pretty well but ended up with one B in Spanish...This semester I'm taking AP Physics and AP Gov and Spanish 4, and I'm doing pretty badly...It looks like if I don't pick up my game, I might end up with 3 more Bs. </p>

<p>Will that affect my chances? Will they view me as a slacker? (I did slack at the begining b/c I thought i would go to a state school. So I got sorta depressed. I got the EFC and it looked great. But the damage was done...It was completely my fault, I know :(</p>

<p>Please don’t be so hard on yourself. You sounds like anything but a slacker to me.
None of us here can speak for Admissions, so there’s not much we can say. It’s not quite March, so maybe instead of worrying, just put a little more energy into your academics, ec’s, etc. </p>
