Batman17, your roommates just had odd schedules

FPF grades are real grades, just like any class you take through extension. During the summer I took Stat 2 online through Extension and that was factored into my UC GPA as well.

I envy people like Spontaneity, who were confident enough to take the dive and take some of the harder courses than the easier courses.

My apologies, I realize I was a bit harsh. It’s been a long time and I felt rather annoyed with the FPFs I encountered. It’s likely a case by case and odds are the kids who are FPF now are probably better prepared than the ones 7 or 8 years ago.

Well no offense, but it seems like his confidence was misplaced.

@andrewtdx

that is most likely the case. Before 2006, FPF courses and all other extension courses did not have grade transfers, so however they did back then did not matter as the grade would have transferred to the campus as a P/NP

They don’t get to live in luxurious dorms… with 2 to a room… right?..

My schedule exactly minus the AC.

So much continuous free time. Finished by 1 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays and 10 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I think that’s what helped me do as well as I did first semester.

A good semester may help you as much as bad semester can kill you.

Figure out the root cause of why you got that GPA and address it. In all honesty, 2.944 comes out to a B/B- average – not too bad.

Personally, I started my first semester with a 3.3, kept it close the following semester, but after a really bad semester, it took a steep dive into 2.7.

Don’t stress over GPA too much. Just work hard and play hard.
