I just realized I signed up for Chem1a and Anthro2AC which have the finals on the same day

Anthro2ac is at 12:30-3:30PM, Chem1a is at 5-8PM

I'm already into these two classes, but should I switch out of Anthro2ac into Anthro3ac just so I don't have 2 finals on one day? I want to do well in both of these classes.

BTW, do AC classes have to be taken for Letter Grade? Or can I take them P/NP?

Two finals in one day is more than reasonable. I know some people who had 3 in a day. Certainly not a reason to switch courses. I think AC can be with P/NP, same with breadth requirement courses. They can be a GPA boost though, if you think you’ll do well in them.

I’ve got the same classes with finals on the same day. I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. 3 would be too much and I w2as about to sign up for a class which would make it 3 finals on 1 day

uh… last fall I had chem 1a and math 16a final the same day… It wasn’t the best decision, but maybe it’s only because I’m weak in both subjects. It is a little overwhelming if you want to do your best in both subjects. Only switch if the anthro 3AC teacher is just as good or better than the other anthro class.

i actually wound up having 3 finals in one day for this next semester. at ucsd theres a rule that one professor has to give an alternate exam if this is the case. is it like that at berkeley?
