Do you apply to the college of your choice on the app?

If yes, i am using the common app so do i do that on their supplimental you think?

(Also if yes to #1). Is CAS or the business school harder to get into… or are they the same and that does not affect your app?

You won't apply to Calloway (the b-school) until spring of your sophomore year, if that's what you're asking. Everyone's in the general college for the first two years, anyway.

wake is in a nice part of winston. as a college town, though, it's not great. it's the 3rd largest city in NC, and the downtown is picking up with things to do, but its still not wonderful.. it's full of corporations like wachovia, bb&t etc.... most of the activities occur around campus that is gated. but the area is safe and the campus is gorgeous.

Wake is beautiful, but I heard the college life is ehhh. I'm hearing that, unless you are in sports, it's kinda on the "boring" side. What do YOU think?

I am not at all into sports, and I don't find the campus at all boring. I generally have so many things to do in the evenings that a night when I don't is considered a luxury.

the supplement is one of the longest that i had to do when applying for college. there are like 5-7 short answers that are not at all easy to answer. the only benefit of doing the common app + supplement rather than the normal application is that with the common app option, you have to write a 1ish page essay and a 2.5ish page essay, whereas with the actual wake application, you will have to write two 2.5ish page essays. If you are like me, and hate writing, then the common app is the way to go. They say that they don't mind which one you do.

Winston-Salem is nice because it has everything that you need. Wake Forest does not have a large influence on the dynamics of the town, it is more like a seperate entity. Winston-Salem has some parts that are very nice and ritzy, and some that are not at all. The area around Wake is probably some where in between, but it doesn't really matter because the campus is gated at night, and there isn't really anywhere that you would walk to anyways. There is more than enough to do at Wake Forest, and the only way you will be bored is if you stay cooped up in your dorm all day in your room with the door closed, go home on the weekends, and don't join a single club or group.

Your college GPA needs to start with a 3 to be considered for Calloway. You also need to earn at least a C in Accounting 111.

Reynolda Village and Reynolda Gardens are within walking distance from campus. There are plenty of on-campus activities to keep you engaged. Some popular activities include: Intramural Sports, Fraternities/Sororities, Project Pumpkin, Attending sporting events, Wake and Shake and other Student Govt events, Campus Ministry, Outdoor Pursuits, Club Sports, LEAD... you get the point. All of the people I know on campus participate(d) in at least one of these events.

I love to watch sports, and Wake fields excellent D-1 sports teams. Currently we field the #1 Men's Soccer team, #5 Women's Field Hockey team, #23 Women's Soccer team, and most importantly a great football team (just outside the Top 25) poised to make another late-season run.
