<p>How optional is the "optional" essay if you're going for their honors program or scholarship, because they really care about your essays?
On the application, when it asks you for your gpa scale, what should you put? I have a 4.85 with 4s being A's, 5's being honors, and 6's being APs.</p>
<p>nope, optional essay is not optional if you really wanna get in/receive scholarships/etc, and i would put weighted GPA. but the admissions office receives your transcript anyway, so i dont think it matters if you fill in that box or not.</p>
