I have this Kaplan SAT prep book, from four years ago! Is this too old, and should I get a new one? What parts have actulally change? I know analogies are gone, and writing section was added, but what about the math section? Could I still use it for the math, and the CR minus the analogies?

If too old, what book is good now?

Get the Official Guide to SAT by CollegeBoard

Enough has changed that you should definitely get a new book. I wouldn't get Kaplan, though. I would get the College Board book, Cracking the SAT and 11 Practice Tests for the New SAT. Those tests are all closer to the real thing than Kaplan.

the math section has also changed a lit, those comparison-type questions are gone. It's best to get a new book, it'll be well worth the money.

I guess... I didn't even know I had that book, but I was going through all my books, looking for some math textbooks I bought a few years back (at a garage sale for a dollar each), and I found it. My best guess is somebody gave it to me when I was doing some talent search thing in middle school.
