I have an old Collegeboard SAT prep book from my sister from March 2005, is it still okay to study off of? I would hate to have to buy a new one for $20-30 when I have a perfectly good one sitting on my desk.

You can use the old book. However they may or may not have questions on analogies; omit them.

You should be fine so as long as you pick the questions that you practice from. I actually have CR and Writing Barrons books from 1993(!) that had relevant prep questions.

However, I would still try and get a copy of the new SAT blue book eventually. If you know HS upperclassmen try and see if they have an unused copy of it that they would be willing to sell at a discount (a lot of the ones at my school do)
