2006 Fall Semester OFFICIAL UPENN transfer Applicant Thread!!!

It depends what is your major. Washington University has a strong undergra business program, and it ranks higher than Chicago. However, Chicago is located in a sopiscated city, where the tone never ends. Students have easy access to almost anything you want!

thanks, I hope so. I applied to USC Marshall, and I heard they are very pretty selective with students. What schools do you have on hands rite now?

Lucky you, at least you have Washington and Chicago to select from. For me, if I am not admitted to either one, I will have to go to University of San Francisco. Due to the fact that NYU-Stern's rejection letter came a few days ago! It was horrible. What type of students get into Stern. My High School GPA was 4.00. SAT I: Verbal 750 Math 780. Fist semester college gpa 3.90 Second semester college gpa 4.00

wow, how in the world didnt you get in with those stats? I'm not too in the know with any colleges besides the handful that I researched to apply to...well chicago was a waitlist but i wanted to think about it just in case...ive got vandy, washu, and ohio state officially...most likely be washu

well, i'm a business and english major, so washu is appealing but also chicagos english & econ program...both are very appealing, actually...

No clue, but I think NYU listed me in their black list since last year. When I was in high school, I applied once, and they rejected me. Yeh, Washington will be an awesome choice!
From your knowlege, did UPenn render any admission decisions on Friday?

upenn...no decision for me...but I hope it comes soon...everyone seems to have thought it would be today, huh

I called them on Friday and told me that some decisions will be released. Ummm, I wonder were they lying! :(

gosh, its so hard to tell whats going on...I only know the official "rolling deadline", ive never called to ask anything about it

In this case, I guess the next date will June 3. Does that mean all applicants that did not get a decision will be wait-lisited?

mmm...I dont know at all...let's see, maybe they were not able to release as anticipated today...computer problems or unexpected delays seeing as no one on CC has reported decisions today, which is pretty unlikely, rite, if they were released

Ture. I do hope it was techinical problems. However, I detest the feeling of anticipating, and it semmed like UPENN adores to make the applicants anticipate. Oh well, I think this is the same for every university. From USC, a decision will be released by June 1st. Oh by the way, which university are you currently attending and where are you from?

univ of tenn., you?

Penn State University (Smeal), but I am not from PA.

and why did you want to transfer rather than continue?

oh cool, so maybe that will be favorable in decisions

It is way tooo far from home. My nearest home is CA and my other home is Taiwan. Secondly, the party sence in Penn State is huge. Third, Penn State have huge classes.

yeah, ut's a party school (and foosball) and big classes, as well...I was born in CA and love it (los angeles)

I hope so. Oh by the way, why are you transferring?

PS: I have like 100 hundreds of leaving Penn State. All in all, it is a waste of time to stay at Penn State.

Wow, that is adjacent to where I am from. I was born in Torrance. CA rocks!
