2007 Early Action Results Thread

So I was browsing the facebook group for Georgetown 2012, and some girl from a school from my state has already been accpepted.

Now I'm REALLY nervous that they sent out acceptances first....:/

no way! they sent them all at once. everyone can calm down (not that i am calm, but you know)... i am fairly certain that the fact that practically no one has heard doesn't mean that they are deferring us all. a combination of the awful weather, holiday mail, and probably lack of foresight on the part of whoever mailed the letters, is responsible for all of our near panic attacks every time the phone rings.

wow peacejoylove, we did like the exact same thing :) my driveway is steep and very icy. i have a study block when the admissions office opens, so i'll be calling until i get through

ugh! i have an ap spanish lit text on donquijote when the admissions office opens, so i'm afraid you'll beat me to it. let's hope that i get accepted ea, because i won't want them to see how much my grade drops because of that test.

likewise on my ap econ test peacelovejoy...i neeeddd this early acceptance!

can someone link to the 2012 facebook group? and thanks peacejoylove...humor is the only reason i havent scratched my eyes out by this point. im not even going to hope that I got the letter today. I live in Orange County, so I will probably be the absolutely LAST person on here to get my letter. AND my mail doesn't come until about 4 every day. lucky me!!!!

When does the admissions office open on monday?

I've checked the mail five times in the past two hours. I need to get this letter today. I have finals starting saturday and I CANT start studying until I know what happens.

my mail comes late too, but i will admit that cincinnati is a lot closer than orange county. though both cities are the namesake for a television show... think georgetown will care? i think it makes us awesome.

^^georgetown 2012 facebook group

and admissions opens @ 9 on monday

My friend in my town did not get his letter today, but I got mine. I wonder how that happens.

i don't know if anyone cares, but i think that facebook group was for students who were accepted last year and took a gap year.

ha that facebook group makes me uber-jealous

it was, but the people who got in today have ben joining it, so im assuming that its gonna become the 2012 group

I'm in MA, didn't come today :(

Nothing in NC..

this is the weirdest mailing schedule ever. people in virginia = no, people in MA = no, people NEAR DC = no, but people in maine and new jersey = yes???? so random.

I live 2 hours from D.C. and I got nothing.

i live in nj and i got nothing, neither did 11 other kids in my school...as far as i know

This may be our only hope....

also, not that this even needed saying, but my friend's mail came and she got nothing. if someone else in california gets their letter today, im going to explode with confusion and frustration.

and for those of you slipping on icy driveways....the sun is shining, and its 67 degrees here :) :) :). too bad that wont help mail delivery....our postmen are notoriously lazy, i bet i wont get it until wednesday.
