<p>Each year the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation awards fellowship grants to the brightest young scientific researchers across the country. </p>
<p>“These awards are intended to enhance the careers of the very best young faculty members in specified fields of science. Currently a total of 116 fellowships are awarded annually in seven fields: chemistry, computational and evolutionary molecular biology, computer science, economics, mathematics, neuroscience, and physics.”</p>
<p>While MIT with its heavy focus on the sciences has had the most impressive showing over the years, Princeton is not far behind. This is particularly remarkable given the small size of Princeton’s faculty compared to other leading institutions.</p>
