2008-2009 AP classes

I'm going to be a senior next year and I just wanted to see what kinds of APs people were taking for next year.

I'm thinking about:

1)Calc BC
2)English Lit
3)Physics
4)US History
5)????

so what do you guys have in mind?

AP Phyiscs C next year, and....

-IB English HL
-IB Math HL
-IB European History HL
-IB French SL

I really wish CC would make an IB forum...

^ Me too.
I'm taking AP CS A, AP English Lit, AP French lang, AP Macro, and AP bio. I'll be a junior.

Senior Year for me:

AP English Literature (Semester-long; traditional classroom)
AP Calculus AB (Semester-long; traditional classroom)
AP German Language (Semester-long; online classroom)
AP Biology (Year-long; online classroom)

I am still tentative on AP Biology, however. I can fit up to four universities courses in the place of my year-long AP Biology class, so I haven't decided. 12 most-likely guaranteed credits from university or an AP course. It is still up in the air for now.

Senior Year:

Calculus BC
Chemistry
English Literature and Composition
European History
Physics C (both)
Macroeconomics
Microeconomics

ummm.... maybe some other things?

I was thinking
Calc AB
English Lit
possibly Bio

Calc AB
Bio
Psych
English Lit.
French

i wish my school had more AP's i could take (AP compsci would be cool)

Junior year for me:

AP Stats
APUSH
AP Chem
AP Psych
AP Language and Comp
AP Spanish Lang

Senior year for me:

Classes

AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism
AP English Literature and Composition
AP US History

Self-Studying

AP French Literature
AP Latin:Vergil
AP Latin Literature
AP Music Theory

Possibly AP Art History, if I don't do it this year.

That'll bring the total to 25 AP's. Even if I don't get credit for all that, at least learning the foreign languages and taking the history AP's will have been fun, (history is my favorite subject, followed by the sciences and then French.)

Senior year:
AP Chem
AP Bio
AP Calc AB
AP Eng Lit
AP US History

Self Study:
AP CompSci AB
AP Art History (mayb)

Senior
AP Calc BC
AP English Lang
AP Spanish Lit
AP Econ Macro
AP Stats

Self:
Probably AP Econ Micro
Maybe AP Human geography

vrdabomb5717, you for real? 25 APs?!? You'll save yourself like 2 years of college, which is about 80k in tuition, assuming you're shooting for HYPSMC

Btw, this thread just proves how delightfully ABNORMAL CCers are. I'm the only one at school to take 5 APs. Here, it seems that its universal :P

as of now

BC Calc
Microecon
Macroecon
Bio
Possibly Art History/Psych/Stat

jr nxt year btw

wow, let me just say to all the juniors taking 5+ AP classes, it will be HELL

but it's so rewarding/worth it

I'm now thinking about filling in my fifth spot w/ Macro, which is considered a very "senior" course at our school (ie. no homework, easy curve)

I just wanted to remark that the people here taking 5 or so AP's aren't freaks; they're the norm. I'm the strange one here :P Most people don't take more than 12 or so AP's as far as I know, and those that do tend to spam on the history and social science AP's: the easy tests, if you will.

Realistically, I know that I'm not going to get credit for all the AP's I've taken, but I'm fine with that. My main motivation was to learn material that I would not have the time for in my high school career or in college and prove to myself that I know the material. College credits, looking nice on my college application, and spending time reading about interesting historical events are nice advantages of self-studying too, I must admit. In any case, don't view yourselves as stupid or anything because you're not overloading like me; some of us just like to be geeks. :P

Junior:

AP Calc AB
APUSH
AP Environmental

Senior next year:
AP Eng
AP Chem
AP Physics
AP Gov't/Econ
AP Calc BC

My school doesn't separate Macro and micro for econ, nor B and C for Physics...

Senior:
AP Calc BC
AP Physics C
AP Stat
AP Gov
AP Art History

Self-Study:
AP European History (if i have time)

^you won't have time for AP Euro man. It's insanity as compared to APUSH
@vrdabomb5717 - 25 APs? i hope you're lying.

Junior (now):
APUSH
AP English Language
AP Spanish Language
AP Biology
AP Chem (BIG MAYBE)

Senior:
AP English Lit
AP Government
AP Macroecon
AP Calc AB/BC (unsure as to which)
AP Physics (self study based on honors class)
AP Environmental

taking:
AP Gov and Psychology.

Junior (right now):
APUSH
AP English Language
AP Stats

Senior:
AP Chem
AP Bio
AP English Lit
AP Macro Econ.
AP Gov
AP Calc BC

I never noticed how many I was actually taking until now o.o
