QUESTION: by the third day of housing sign-up..will there be doubles in de neve? or anywhere for that matter?

Not a chance; the only situations will be rooming with someone who already picked a double room and left a vacant spot (but that too will be unlikely).

For doubles, look for anywhere in Sunset (should be plenty), Summit, and the halls.

oh, that's right.
now i remember how i got a double.
i had to facebook all the people who had them but didn't have roommates to find a normal one.

when is the final new wave of sign up times each day, is it like 6 pm?

also, how fast would doubles go in a res hall like dykstra compared to sproul, cause i'm looking for a double, but my signup is at 3:30 on the second day

I'm going to be a third year next year, and my roomate and I are thinking of going for a studio apartment on either gayley towers, glenrock, or landfair. Are they quiet enough for studying? Or is the noise from the frat houses too much?If its too much, i'm either getting a room in summit or buying those bose headphones.

If only people didn't buy into the marketing that Bose has. There are way better headphones than Bose, for the same or lower price.

Sennheiser HD280 Pro, Audio-Technica, etc. You don't need active noise-cancelling, as that just interferes with the quality of the audio. Just go with passive cancelling, and your ears will thank you.

I mean, when you wear the quietcomfort2s, dontcha wonder how bose got the headphones to weigh SO LITTLE? Less copper and magnets, i tell you. thinner plastics. etc. etc. blah.

nah i never looked much into headphones. i do know that for the QC2, the music quality is great, it's super comfortable, and the noise cancellation works like a charm. the only complaint i have about it is the battery life since i'm always listening to music.

anyways it's more of a personal thing. every time i get good grades, i thank my headphones.
