is it possible for seniors to get the dorms, let alone a single? btw, i just transferred to ucla this year and am currently living in the univeristy apartments, if that matters

No real audiophile uses Bose... like someone said earlier, its all marketing hype for ridiculously expensive, less than great equipment. I don't care much about noise cancelling (sucky sound for more $$), but I doubt anything can surpass Grado SR-60s. They are as good as headphones in the $200 range but for only $60!!! Sennheiser's are good too.
And what type of housing is Sproul? Is it plazas?

wow I seem to have launched a vigorous debate on headphones. Anyway, my original question was whether or not the university apartments(gayley, glenrock and landfair) are noisy.

From what I've heard the university apartments can be just as noisy as the residential plazas, which obviously doesn't mean much since it depends on where you're living.

My sign up time is the 4th at 5:15. There's one single studio in Glendale West and I'm not going to get it. That makes me mad.

my sign up time is 2m, it would be nice if someone here would like to room with me. if you're interested send me a pm. my sign up time is 1:15. im looking into the uni apartments, maybe dorms but prefer uni. im a male btw.
