Well, the decision letter will be mailed on Friday, anyway. I'm pretty sure the decision has already been made.

the decisions that will be mailed on friday...do they include rejections too or just acceptances?

Sorry to make you guys disappointed, I was rejected.

I'll try to apply in transfer application. Anyway good luck to you all.

^^^0739085, they sent out rejection letters already? When was yours dated?

I am so sorry 0739085!!! :( I wish you the best of luck at whatever college you will be attending this upcoming year. When did you receive the rejection letter?

I know you're going to ask that....I called and asked the officer I contacted before if my decision has been released, I want to know sooner since I need time to manage visa applications. He kindly told me I got denied.

How do we know letters are going out today? Does anyone know if this is the next wave of offers?

To those of you who have been accepted from the waiting list, how has your financial aid been, considering the announcement of Brown's new financial aid policy this year? I recently got off the waiting list somewhere else where I got bad financial aid, so I'm really anxious about hearing from Brown about the waiting list.

I heard that Brown is sending out rejections and acceptances.

I wonder if we'll receive them today, or whether they were just sent out today.

So are they sending out acceptances, rejections, and waitlists today? or just waitlists and rejection letters?

umm... we're already waitlisted...

it sounds like they sent acceptances and rejections a few days ago, we should be receiving them soon. (but this is only the first round. round two is mid-june)

Sorry when I said waitlist letter, I meant a letter that indicates you're still on the waitlist, or something like that. (I just assumed they would at least give some update to those who are still on the list. hmm, maybe brown doesn't do that....)

I read that FedEx was used to ship the big envelope to an accepted candidate. I dont think that they would use fedEx for the small envelopes that contain the rejection letters. Sooo....what Im trying to say here is that one can sign up on FedEx.com as a user and use the "Insight" feature that tells you if a package is sent to you by providing your first and last name. I think its possible. I will try it out now!!!!

Did signing up work?

No!!!! the Signing up didnt work...when I put my first and last name, it says
"invalid characters". Too bad, cuz I really think this could work. Did anyone else try to do it?

Petya, the instructions on FedEx web site clearly state "Enter FedEx tracking number" i.e. a combination of digits. It doesn't say "Enter your name" or "Enter your favorite pet name". Sorry, but if you couldn't grasp that before starting this whole experiment maybe you shouldn't try so hard getting into Brown...

Yeah I was just gonna say...if the Brown admissions folks are indeed trolling the internets, Petya will likely be taken of the list.

no i know what petya is talking about. insight is a thing you sign up for. my family has it. it's not the tracking thing on the main page, it's different. s/he's not being stupid.

Would there be parallel updates on the page that tracks the status of a waitlistee's application when the admission's office sends out their admit/rej./still wl'd letters? (https://selfservice.brown.edu/ss/twbkwbis.P_WWWLogin)
Mine still reads that 'a decision is currently unavailable' or something of the sort.
