the 10 students thing was only before Harvard and other top schools announced the insane quantity of offers they were gonna give out to waitlisted kids. Its going to be more than 10, but how much more we do not know

It's so weird. I called Brown today and asked the receptionist if they knew whether or not they were going to take kids off the waitlist and she said "we do not have that information as of yet". Every other Ivy has made some kind of announcement regarding their waitlist... I am going nuts waiting! I guess it's best they take their time though... hopefully we'll hear early next week.

I Need To Know Now!

Yes! If the other schools offer 90 kids, Brown should too. PEER PRESSURE!!!11!one

So I guess no one got any good news today?

Isn't it possible that no one who frequents the Brown forum will get in? Then we'd have no idea whether or not admissions sent out letters.

If they had sent out letters, then it is highly likely that the receptionists would know that. Also, the CC contingent is on average more highly qualified then the average applicant, so it is also highly likely that at least one of us will get good news.

Based on this, I think it's safe to say nobody has heard yet. At least that is what I am telling myself.

Yea, I called today and they said they will give out the decisions towards the end of the month... So perhaps no one really got any news about the waitlist status.

yeah, got same infos as Catchafallinstar

Shoot the end of this month? Well hopefully they don't check up on fourth quarter grades before making the decisions...

Yeah, I just called. They said that the earliest we could find out is in the next couple of weeks, the latest is at the end of June. She said they've started looking through applications though, so that's a good sign.

Maybe the end of next week could count as the end of the month? Hopefully?

Oh, and GC confirmed that Brown only sends letters, and does not call.

Hey guys, I contacted my alumni interviewer, but the only thing he knows right now is that they'll be out by mid-June. He said that he'd inquire more for me, so hopefully I'll get some more news soon...

^^ you are posting that simply to brag. Obviously you can tell them you don't want to be on the waitlist anymore. Don't ask a stupid question you @$$.

It's going to be so great when the poster decides to stay on the waitlist just to hurt your chances.

to wanna b brown---ma bad dawg

first and last, i didn't to say the dog eat dog shiat in the first and last place. i meant to say its a world with jungle rules out there... (just in case you still don't get it listen to The Game's track "Start from scratch" and i think you will get it! ;P )

OMG, I called and they said that some decisions were sent out last week!!! Gasp (I'm not 100% positive about this, as the lady herself was uncertain about the numbers. SOOO Did anyone get one? )

Haha I called too, and the lady said they were sending out the first wave this week. So regardless of who was right, it seems like we should be hearing pretty soon! If anyone gets good news let us know!

Oh Gosh, I hope I'll get one!!!! fingers crossed

No, they definitely have not sent them out yet, but yes, I heard that the first wave is 'end of May' aka next week...

eowyn, how do you know that they definitely have not sent them out yet?
