yeah, I also found this on the nyu website:
"The deadline for transfer applications was April 1st and the reading process for transfer applicants begins in earnest during the month of April. Notification dates vary somewhat depending on the school or program, but at this time, we expect that transfer admission decisions will be mailed beginning in early- to mid-May. Some decisions may go out a little earlier; and many will go out later, especially if the Committee on Admissions determines that spring grades need to be included in our review."

Spring grades? ****.

Calc 3 and 4 are owning me this semester. Hope they don't ask for it

if you're transferring in order to enter NYU as a sophomore, then more likely than not, they would probably ask for mid-semester or second quarter grades, since they want to see your collegiate performance as much as possible. if you're transferring in order to enter NYU as a junior, then I don't think it will be necessary.

How many emails of confirmation should we have received from NYU so far? I applied about a week ago and I only got one email with my ID number.

That was the last one I got as well.

According to one of the emails, we are supposed to receive four - I received one automatically after submitting the application, and then another one being the email with NYU id we are given. The email says that you should receive the fourth confirmation after 'initial processing'. I honestly wouldn't worry about receiving all four, you should only be concerned with two of them: the first with the NYU ID and the eventual fourth one with the final confirmation (which I don't know when we're receiving).

I got four emails from NYU.

I guess the number of emails you get might also depend on if you had applied with CommonApp. I applied with CommonApp.

does anyone know if NYU will accept SAT scores taken in the last month of senior year in high school :(?

may/june 200?

probably this coming june..since i have 4 ap exams in may

I havn't got any email till now. I applied some two hours earlier than the deadline. lol
Do AOs care if we applied early or not?
Soooooooooo nervous>.<

Hey guys I am tranferring to NYU as a sophomore and hope everyone good luck!
Plus just found out I forgot to put my SAT2 scores onto the commonapp. My math2 is 800 and US History 720. What should I do with this? Call AO and inform them? I hate my randomness
Thx~lol

shuo: I was wondering that, too. Do AOs care when we apply as long as its before the deadline?

@Shuo

Well if your applying as a sophomore, they really don't look at SAT's so it doesn't really matter

They will see your official scores if you send them in anyway, but as sixstringaddict said, they don't carry much weight.

THX:)@SixStringAddict AoDay
I feel much relieved now coz my SAT1 is rather low. lol
Good luck!

Hey I applied to NYU as a transfer from a large division 1 state university where I play a sport. The coach at NYU of the sport I play said he could probably push my application through early and I could find out as early as april 20th. And I'm sure my application wouldn't be by itself so I'm sure some other people would find out their application status around this time too.

^ i have been emailing with an admissions director who told me i will most likely hear something by the end of april.

NYU transfer hopeful here from CCC. The wait is killing me; wish I know now. Good luck to everyone!
