Hello guys…I got a 147…and I bought the BBv2 and Princeton review 2010 books. And also the direct hits both volumes.

Math is my highest score like a 50 and the others (CR and Writing) are round 47ish or so. Should i practice (under a set time) or without time limit? Which book should I start using first? PR or CB2? “howmuch” practice should I do once a week? like 1-2hrs on the weekend?

I would practice without a time limit to get an idea of the format and get used to the types of questions, and once you feel you are ready, you can start focusing on time. Honestly, it probably doesn’t matter which book you use; there is a thread somewhere on this forum that talks about all the different prep books. How much you want to practice is really up to you, just avoid doing too much and getting burned out

plannerboi, I share your ambition haha. this was my first SAT though, so I’m not too upset that I screwed up the first of the writing sections (I didn’t realize theyd be 35 questions instead of 20ish in the same amount of time…)
However overall I thought it was pretty easy, especially vocab.

Quick question, for anyone who may know… I know one of the two multiple-choice, 25minutes writing sections we took will not be counted for our score, is there any way to tell which? I’m sure Ill find out in a few weeks but in the meantime it would be nice to know.

Okay…everyone, I know you’ve been discussing all the results for practically a month now.

I just want to rant for a moment: I haven’t even received my results yet!

There are about 800 in my class…but I think only about 150 or so took the PSAT. I know for a fact (the counselor told me this!) that they received them over winter break–which was over three WEEKS ago. In fact, I also know for a fact they have all the score reports organized already.

However, the office won’t hand the results out for at least another week. =P And that’s if I somehow convince my mother to attend an after-school, one-hour meeting, where school administration will discuss the “meaning” behind the scores.

Is there anything I can do? Any way I could possibly access my score report online? Or contact CB? Any authority to whom I can express my (extreme) frustration?

Thanks for listening to me vent. Any suggestions will be appreciated. =)
