2010 ap calculus ab curve!!! Its ab not bc

Can college board really tell who each person is if they mention the free response in this thread?? I mean its not like we are gonna give the answers to someone who didnt take it yet. Anyways, I think the curve should be around 70 just because all of the practice exams I’ve taken have been around there.

Also, the MC was moderatly easy except for one or two. The FRQ was much harder than I expected though…

Hoping for a 4 or 5!

@yosup: thank you that makes me feel better!

this was my first ap exam and when do scores come out? also, can you check scores online like with SAT’s and stuff or i have to wait for them to come n the mail?

Oh sorry, I must have been brain dead from the test. The ride one was the (okay not trying to break any rules here) problem in which people were getting in line to ride a roller coaster.

Yes, I agree. MC was pretty easy but FRQ was hard

Seriously guys, MC was a joke. We were handed ETS’ sample tests in class, and I pulled a weekend mastering that material. This MC was 10 times as easy. Some of the FRQs were challenging, but I’m pretty sure I got all of them right (even left summary notes).

Do you get an award if you score 95+%?

“I don’t care what the curve is I know I got a 100%. That just makes it harder for all the idiots who had to take the test because they didn’t do as well as I did. I just know I got a 100. All those idiots were complaining about the number six on the FRQ for the BC again… I destroyed it, I could’ve done that using 7th grade pre-algebra. I finished it the whole FRQ section with 35 minutes to spare. Some people are just so stupid, I can’t wait till I am the CEO of a company just so I can boss these idiots around. I know I got a 6 on the test that was so easy, if you didn’t get a perfect 6 on the exam then you are just flat out dumb”

^Quoted for truth.

I’m expecting a 5 on this.

@joeyd973: I wouldn’t know for the BC exam, although I’d expect it to be around the same if not more lenient. Then again, I’m speaking out of ignorance so maybe someone else can shed some light on it.

i took the 2008 test with my class as a practice exam and the cut off for a 5 was 65/108. i left two FRQs blank on it and still got a 5. it’s entirely possible to leave FRQs blank and get a 5.

Same here. In the worst case scenario, I highly doubt I’ll get anything lower than a 4, though getting a 5 looks far more likely :)

(BTW I’m talking about Calc AB)

I think I got a solid 4, maybe a 5 if I get somewhat lucky…I probably missed at most 10 MC questions (left one blank) but probably more so around 7-8, and got most points on FR 1-3, half on #4 (made a dumb mistake), half on #5, and maybe like 3-5 on #6.

When I took Stats last year I was thinking a solid 4 but ended up getting a 5 lol…but we shall see come July.

You’re an ******* Junoon. I don’t care how smart you are, you’ll be lucky to be be hired as a minimum wage employee let alone a CEO.

I think I got at least 85%+ on the MC and got all but one point for the first five FRQs. The last one didn’t go well, however.

The mc was very easy for the AB test but the frq’s killed me for sure. I made some very dumb mistakes regarding the p.o.i i really dont know what i was thinking. hopefully they give us a generous curve I probably got between a 55-60 raw score

Just wondering, but why did many of you find the last one challenging? I found it to be one of the easier ones, but I struggled with the waiting in line one at first and had some issues with number 5 as well.

Silverturtle, I’m in basically the same position as you are.

Kww, because two days ago I asked my calc teacher how to do pretty much the EXACT SAME type of problem, and she told me I didn’t need to know that for Calc AB. I’m kind of mad at her now…she said that for another letter in a frq too. =/ It’s probably not that it’s hard, it’s just that I had no idea how to do it.

And I did do some of the last one, but I guessed on more than half of it.

My teacher always said 70+ is a 5. I have no idea about this particular AP though.

Junoon is ignorant on a couple things.

the test is out of 108 points not 100

a 5 is the highest one can get on an ap exam not 6

no upper colleges want kids that think that way so hell never make it to CEO of anything but his own **** that he leaves in the toilet lol thats all

and amusement park was slightly difficult same for snow one others i think im good on (for AB) i had form R and the noncalc was way easy skipped none but calc skipped two "/

Oh, I’m sorry that sucks. I actually had a feeling that there would be a differential equation on there so I was pretty well prepared
