Updates: University of Rochester (Immunology) is sending out invitations for interviews!

today has been a slow day…

MIT biology anyone…??

Agreed MolSys. I was fully expecting this week to be the crazy phone call and email week on behalf of the grad offices with today getting a big punt. Seems I was wrong… this silence is only making me more manic. Oh yes, to those who this applies to, don’t forget to turn in your grade report for fall 09.

What program or field of study are you applying to Gradhopefully?

Just got my interview today for the University of Rochester’s Neuroscience program, interview dates for 2/25-2/27. I’m most likely going to decline, though, since I don’t want to miss too many classes this quarter.

Seems like UC Berkeley is a little late this year, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Well my major is technically Bio with a concentration in mol bio, but most of the programs i applied to focus on biochemistry and mol biophysics

I just got an e-mail from Princeton. They had invited me by phone a week or two ago, but apparently I gave them the wrong phone number. FAIL!

this thread is gradually driving me nuts :D

@nutmeg

We are applying to a couple of the same programs,
I was wondering if you knew if BU path/immuno did interviews?
I have not heard from them nor Tufts Sackler immunology (who does do interviews)
Hope we both hear from them soon

does anyone have any idea on how the Duke CMB interview work? It seems like a 2-day program…any details? And do the international students (living in US) get interviews later than the domestics?

Received Stanford biology interview email 10 min. ago.

UCSD BMS invite today for 3/5-3/6! Seems the admission committee met last Friday.

I am driving myself insane reading this thread. I had letters of recommendation holding me up but they have finally been submitted. The waiting is just awful. I feel like it’s time to find a hobby or something. I have taken up working out in the evening just to exhaust myself before bed so that I can sleep through most of the night, yet I find myself awake at 4am checking my email. I can’t help myself when I roll over and that flashing red light catches my eye. Who is going to email me at 4am? QVC that’s who. I never thought I’d hate my blackberry. . .

Rejected: None

I believe BU does do interviews, though I have no idea when the interview weekend(s) are this year. I haven’t heard anything from Tufts immuno yet, though hopefully soon for both programs. Good luck!
