2011 AP Human Geography Preparation Thread!

The Gravity Model is used to calculate transportation flow between to points, right?
I don’t know the formula off the top off my head, though. Partial credit, lol?

What continent had the majority of new member UN states during the 1960s? Why?

^I guess Africa, because of decolonization.

Gravity Model= the interaction btwn 2 places is equal to the product of the places’ populations, divided by the square of their distance apart. I cnt exacty type the equation here tho… and @Mrluggs… yikes! what the answer to ur Q?

I forgot to cancel AP Human Geography from my AP registration list at my school before the deadline so I have to take it… does anyone else realize how big of a joke this exam is and how virtually no colleges accept it for any form of credit or acknowledge it as a legitimate college level course?

I only have the practice test. If anyone would be kind enough to send the 2001 and 2006 released exams to tenebrousday@gmail.com, that would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Please send me any APHG practice test, past exam, vocab, notes… pls anything!!!

I just started self studying and I only have the barrons book:( I should have got a PR according to numerous posts in this thread… *sign.

In return for your time and effort, I can send you all that I have for Econs, Calculus and World History including practice exams, vocab, cram packages etc etc. Found those through hours and hours of googling…

here is a practice exam, most likely you have come across it, but just in case.
are there any others out there?

If someone could send me any released AP human geography exams, study guides or notes at sharkerp@yahoo.com, I would greatly appreciate it!

A week until the APHG exam. Good luck to everyone.

Are there any movies I could watch that could be related with the course? Not really looking for something particular.

So I’ve taken 3 practice tests so far (PR/Kaplan), and I’ve finishedwithin 45 mins for the MC and 45 mins for the FRQ. I’m not sure why.
Has this happened to you guys?

statlanta, I sent you a PM but im not sure if it went through cuz my browser didnt load.

Can you send me the released exams please? It would be so much help for me.
My email is lacielle1995@hotmail.ca

Thank you!! :D

At this point, I’ve sent to everyone who’s PMed and posted here including LaCielle. I will no longer be distributing these materials.

self studier here… anyone so kind to send me a released exam? I’ve only got a practice exam… and I’m doomed for APHG…
My e-mail is labyrinthcomposer@gmail.com, and I’ll really appreciate it!

Hey you forgot me
Tenkiprince@gmail.com

Now we should talk about the test. What topics will be covered? I hear that the multiple choice and even some of the FRQ is really definition based.

That’s what I’ve been hearing.
I’ve also heard that examples score BIG points on the FRQs…
Sadly, I don’t know many examples ):

Same here with the examples thing…are you a self-study?

^ Sorry to bother you statlanta but would you mind sending me the released AP exams at sharkerp@yahoo.com?

Does anyone think that they will grade the APHG exam more harshly this year considering they are not deducting points for wrong answers?
