What do you think this years DBQ is going to be about? It would be a HUGE advantage to know what the DBQ will be over

There is no way to know…why are u asking?

you can’t be sure, but if you want to have an idea try to find out the prompts from the last few years, b/c they probably won’t repeat those topics anytime soon

My ap history teacher said that the civil war was a likely topic for an essay on the ap test. It’s the 150 year anniversary so it makes sense I think

Well, all we know for sure is that it won’t be about Puritans.

When they ask about Puritans are they referring to the Pilgrims or the congregationalists or both? I mean should we include both the Plymouth and Masachussets Bay colonies?

Puritans…
You know what our APUSH teacher told us? “Oh no worries! there won’t be puritans on the DBQ, heck, of course not! Such a silly notion!” and so, we skimmed over the first few chapters.

Guess what was on the DBQ.
Taaaaada.
Puritans.

lol so what did you get on the AP exam? Can you also answer my question please?

I bet it will be on either Guilded Age (if so i’m gonna be ****ed off) or Antebellem Era or Civil War. If it is on either of the last two I will be thrilled.

Haha, LuDeaux, one of the teachers at my school said the same thing to his students last year.

I bet it’s going to be something about African American Rights or Women’s Rights. It’s one of the most common topics on the exam. You never know though, the DBQ is usually very random when it comes to choosing a specific topic.

It might have something to do with economics. Like Clay’s American System and whatnot. Hopefully it is something pretty easy, because i know that i will bomb 1 out of the 2 FRQ’s.

sigh…It’s really random.get all-round preparedness, that’s what I can say. It tortures me bad.

but remember to use crash course to integrate dispersed knowledges in your brain by reading their summary at the back.

Native Americans during the second half of the nineteenth century. Never been done before and there are many things to talk about like the Dawes severalty act, wounded knee, custers last stand etc. In between puritans and Vietnam. Perfect storm

^ I sure hope not, we didn’t even cover any of that… from what i’ve heard, it’s based off of what is happening right now, and thinds similar to it in the past. I feel like it’s going to end up being about the French Revolution and it’s effects on the US. That one also hasn’t been done

I’d love one based on the Monroe Doctrine and the Roosevelt Corollary and how presidents have used these to justify invasions…ties the 21,20, and 19th century all together.

If the DBQ is on 20th century culture (ex Jazz Age, Harlem Renaissance, Rock and Roll era) I will be the happiest student in the room. That would be the ultimate “in your face” to those who criticized me for taking regular US History and not AP.

But it will never happen.
