Hey Hockeydude ~ Congrats on the appointment! I waited for someone to respond to you but guess no 2011 people have found this place yet. You can lay claim to being the first I think. Take care of yourself & welcome aboard!!

Hi Alex, I just got my acceptance as well. I'm Kirstin from W?rzburg, Germany.

Hey Alex! (This is Emily..)
I feel pretty confident about my USMMA application-the last piece should be on its way...and with basketball as a possibility, my application gets moved to the top of the pile and it'll get looked at asap.
sooo...did you rule out cga? or is that still a possibility?

The more I hear about kings point, the more appealing it is. I'm excited! :)

Hopefully I'll be reposting as an appointee to the class of 2011!
talk to you later

congrats to you all! it's a huge step to move out here. but one worth taking. keep pressing ahead... and never forget why you're doing it.

recognize 2011...

Hey Emily! Thats awesome to hear. I'm still waiting to hear from CGA, but i think my heart has moved to MMA. I'm goin for a visit next week, so i'll let you know how i like it. I hope to hear good news from you soon! Keep in touch.

Any new appointments???

Okay, so I've not really been appointed to the class of 2011, give me a break, I'm new. I'm in the application process now (well, most of its done). I really would like to go to Kings Point, but I think my downfall may be the CFA. Any opinions on the matter?

get your application done ASAP. the only way to get better at the CFA stuff is to practice. i was blessed to have a great personal coach that pushed me every day, if possible, go talk to a gym coach at school and they should be willing to help out. if not, get a buddy to work out with. go running every night, hit the lap pool, pull ups, sit ups, push ups, do it all. what i found helped was if you can't devote a solid chunk of time to a work out, but have a few minutes to spare, crank out some push ups really quick. if you do that a few times a day, it'll help significantly. just don't give up. it'll suck getting to the point where it's easy to pass all of it, but worth it, stay focused and push yourself. don't allow yourself to quit or doubt. Acta Non Verba.

Thanks for the reply. I have the whole application done, DODMERB results haven't registered yet, but the exams are done. Basically, my CFA (coming up on Monday) scores would be average at best, and I wonder if that could devaluate my application, even though SATs, grades, etc. are pretty good.

no it shouldn't at all this isn't west point and there are A LOT of people here that dont qualify as PT studs

has anyone reached the max 100 points on any of the activities for the CFA?

Hello there

My name is Nicholas Mann and I'm from Sturgeon Bay WI.

I got word of my acceptance yesterday. I have been doing Army ROTC through a nearby college this past year (non-contracted), but I'm definitely going to take this.

Congratulations!

There is a good Army program at KP

Congrats Nicholas!!!

Way to go Nicholas!! You and my son, hockeydude14, will be shipmates!

congrats nick!
keep your head high, enjoy the last few months with your friends and your family. especially your family. it might sound lame to say it like that, but you'll miss them more than you might think. as much as i like the fact that i'm here, i would love to go spend a friday night at home with my family. treasure the time you have left as a kid! this is a big step, don't be scared, but realize that a lot changes when you leave.
have a great day and keep your head high.
woot woot for 2011!

Congrats, Nick! I am sure you will make Door County proud!

All the Best to You, Nicholas! As my son is also Nick, and is graduating in June, I am looking to you to take his place! July will be here sooner than you can imagine, so take everyone's advice and enjoy your time at home. A new chapter will begin at KP...
