According to the [RSI brochure](http://www.cee.org/sites/default/files/RSI_Brochure_2011.pdf) at the bottom of page 3, the notification date is the last week of March.

You would think I would try checking the official brochure before anything else… Thanks for finding it. :)

My only question now is whether the notification date is the same, even after the application deadline has been moved back a week. I really don’t want to wait until April to know…

If you are going to bio field, do you think CEE will check your USABO open exam score? I think they can see the score before us, right?

I think doing that and checking AMC scores, etc would be too time consuming. I suspect you are judged based on your application only.

Anybody here planning on applying to Penn State? If you get in, you probably get to see Joe Pa coach his last few years (unless he ACTUALLY is immortal, LOL !)

Eesh. I look at the stats on this board and my heart kind of hurts.
I’m thinking about applying for this next year. What should I start doing? Research? Volunteer work?

If anyone could help me out here, either by replying or PMing me, that’d be great.

I am still uncertain as to my applicant status for RSI, so I may not be the one to give advice. However, some main things would be strong grades, research, and success in math/science contests. I believe that the AMC B contest just finished, but good standing in the AIME or USAMO (which I didn’t have) could go a long way.
In terms of research, you could probably email a professor at a local university or college whose research you are interested in and ask him if you could contribute to his current work.
Alternatively, attending a research-oriented summer camp could be greatly beneficial.
Still, I am not the one to be giving advice; some RSI alums would be better at directing your efforts.

RSI decisions are outt!! postmarked 2/20!

SERIOUSLY!? wow that’s fast. did you get in?

Have any regular CC posters gotten a decision today?

not yet =(

^^^^■■■■■?

I"m smelling a bit of a rat… 2/20 was Sunday… ain’t never known the post office to be postmarking anything on a Sunday :-)

Plus in 4 days, I’m pretty sure that a regular CC poster would have gotten the nws by now.

However… it would be awesome :-)

I did hear though that TASS interview notifications are out, so maybe some confusion on the poster’s part?

sigh yeah i guess… got me all excited for like two minutes and then… hahhaa. i’m too gullible anyway =P you can trick me just about with anything. x]

^ no i pretty much knew that i was ■■■■■■■■
i wanted to liven up this thread and wow so you guys do check like every hour! :)

march is such a scary month…

frasirfir… march is a BUSY month… waiting for results, taking more competition exams, waiting for more results…

Haha, my heart skipped a beat, and then I laughed.

March is a very, very scary month…

This thread does need some livening up. We’re behind every other year as of yet.
