^when my mom called, CEE said that results would be mailed out this week (ending yesterday)… so yes, results should be coming next week (starting today).

Thanks sMITten, That is the exact information she relayed to me so we can assume it is accurate. Can anyone attest to envelope size? Is it a skinny envelope=rejection, fat one=acceptance? Or are they all skinny? Any CC Ricktoids know and care to share?

Thx!!! :)

Oops I didn’t check this thread for a while…

@boredinschool: All the envelopes are skinny with just one letter inside.

Good luck to all of you! I’ll be a last week teaching assistant at RSI 2011, so I’ll be helping Rickoids put together their final papers and presentations…I hope to see some of you there!

I guess it’s going to be an exciting week…

So the earlier we get results, the earlier we can stop worrying and get back to concentrating on all of these other high-stress junior year events If they were mailed last week (probably Friday?), hopefully locals will start getting results early this week!

In the meantime, does anyone else have exams this week?

This week is crazy! Many competitions.

My two friends are applying to this… they talk about it all the time.

One has ISEF 1st in team with a few math awards and the other has Siemens semi-finalist two times in a row with some other science fair awards and a scholarship from LG.

They goto the same school though… whats the chance of them making it in?

^^^More reason to worry and be pessimistic about my chances. Thanks :(

jk!!

Well, top schools like Thomas Jefferson can often send multiple applicants (or so I’ve heard), but I’ve also heard that RSI considers some measure of geographic diversity. They both seem pretty qualified, though I’m not sure how RSI views team vs individual research.

I can’t even concentrate on anything right now so I really hope some people start confirming results today!

i think insomnia is a ■■■■■…u can’t be a siemens 2 times and still be a junior… the earliest you can apply is a junior?and that’s as a team.

has anyone gotten a letter today?

I just checked the mail. No letter, yet.

Not me.

10char

wait did i miss something? how do we know for sure we’re getting the letters this week…did someone confirm this

about 85% certainty that we are getting them this week… coming from adults who have called or who have “insider” information.

No letters in PA yet

Sorry to ruin our hopes but my dad called them today (I was accepted to another program but want to hold off confirming/rejecting them until I know about rsi). He said that the women he spoke to said they will be sent this week or next. Apparently the women did not know whether they were being emailed or mailed. This may mean she isn’t the most informed and simply going off the dates they originally gave us.

That would be 3 or 4 different responses now from CEE. Who knows??? I guess we wait and see :-)

OK, so my mom just called again… some decisions went out in today’s mail. Some will be emailed (???) and everybody should know by the end of the week.

You can apply as a freshman if you have a partner.

■■■■■ me not.

eh whatever i guess whatever happens happens.
