Thanks for making me feel a little better for being so stupid! AP Chem, AP Stat, AP Econ, AP Calc BC were all important courses to what my future plans are and they all garnered 5’s. My Advanced Chem tutor thinks I should contact them and send them in now. No? Thoughts? Thanks guys… :)

Boredinschool,

Was it noted on your application anywhere? Since my son is homeschooled, I design his transcripts and I list his AP scores but he didn’t send his official scores, either. I’m betting your application is good just the way it is because it seems that likely no one sent AP scores since they only ask what AP classes you’ve taken rather than for official AP scores.

I still wonder (but doubt) if there is any correlation between the USABO scores and the RSI applications.

@sMITten: Even if they see the USABO scores, I don’t think that it would have much clout in determining your applicant status. Also, my brother who unsuccessfully applied to TASP saw your name on the forum; how did that go for you?

^ failure… but that’s ok, my heart is in scientific / mathematical research.

If they use the USABO scores, I think it would be after they have chosen “finalists” and it might make the difference between accepted and wait listed… dunno, but it’s fun to think of possibilities.

Re: My AP scores of 5’s, No I did not note them on the app. I assumed that, academically, my app was strong enough and it was not requested we provide the or that the resulting scores be noted. Darn! Oh well, whatever happens will happen soon! thanks for the response tho!

Such a nice quiet calmness among us…probably until early-mid next week :-). Enjoy your weekend!

Yeah… It’s during my Spring Break too. I’m going to be watching over this thread to see if any of the east coasters alert us of the notifications being sent out. Only one or two weeks left…

I am ambivalent about repeating this here…but my friend at school who applied told me to expect our letters Monday or Tuesday of next week. I don’t know how she knows. This is second hand so maybe I should shut up. Her dad works at MIT so that may be why she has more specific information. We are on the East Coast.

^ I think you are roughly right. We’ll see though :-). I’m not sure that MIT would know, really… as there isn’t really an affiliation between CEE and MIT, not technically so much anyway.

Is anybody from VA? I bet you could (???) get your decision letter tomorrow… maybe :-). I wonder why they don’t email… it would save them money and save us anxiety :-)

Wait, boredinschool, you have been told that it will be coming on Monday or Tuesday of the “following week”…do you mean this coming Monday and Tuesday (in a few days), or the Monday and Tuesday of the week after that?

This coming Monday or Tuesday we should we receive. I cannot vouch as to how accurate this actually is. She told me she knew this and I guess i believed her. She is also very competitive and I can see her picking up the phone and calling CEE herself. Her father works for MIT so maybe he knows some of the CEE people. I will report back as soon as I receive my decline letter, LOL! I don’t think she is making this up.

I think bored is right… the rejections should be pouring in soon.

i dont even care whether i get to go or not, i just want to get my letter and get this over withh

MIT and CEE are not officially associated, so having connections to MIT doesn’t give her a better idea of when CEE will release decisions.

But good luck to you all! days are counting down!

Yeah, I just want this to be over… I can’t work on some of my other applications for internships/programs when I keep imagining myself at RSI… T.T

I wonder who’ll be the first one on the CC boards to get accepted?..

^Probably whoever lives in VA or nearby :-)

Because I’m from Pennsylvania, I’ll probably be one of the first people to get the rejection letter.

@ buzzer 11,

That’s true, but I do not know whether she actually has some inside information, or whether her dad called CEE and was given this info; or whether she truly
knows for certain that our letters are arriving Mon or Tues. I am speculating that, perhaps, she is more connected than I am, I suppose you are speculating that she is not! In that case, it is best assume what she said is hogwash and sit back and be patient.
