TaylorM0192- what does your URSA say on financial aid?

I’m taking zero classes. I couldn’t–I have 88 semester units. 90 or more and I would be ineligible for admission to UCSD, my safety school.

Luckily I was able to get everything done. IGETC, prereqs, etc. It actually might help a bit to have everything done already–no last semester prerequisite grades they can’t see. It could hurt to not be taking classes, but I am working, and I explained in my application why I couldn’t take any more classes.

@Pino

So far it says they have not received my FAFSA, and thus there is no award summary, etc.

I submitted mine late though (almost two weeks past the deadline) so I’m not surprised. I’m remaining adamant that it does not mean anything until the decisions are released though. I should have asked the rep about that though…damn. I really hope she was being serious about decisions being released this week!!

redoplease- Im just asking what their financial aid status is on URSA.

@TaylorM0192

I submitted my FAFSA pretty early–February 1 (I had to wait to get all the W-2s or it would have been earlier). Nothing is showing up for me for UCLA.

TaylorM0192- if you do not see your financial aid in URSA, do not lose hope. Usually many people who are accepted to UCLA will find out about their financial aid on URSA the day decisions are going to be released or even an hour before admission decisions are released.

you are such a creep, pinoaiko

Did you guys check the “View BruinCard Account” link? I checked it a few days ago but it says error when I go to the “My account” button. But when I check it today, I can access to that link and when I click that button again, it shows all my information. When I view the Bruincard Statement, I can even see the last 4 digit of my card number! Anyone notice this change too? Also I heard people says they are going to release result tomorrow…so Good luck to everyone!

@Nick

Don’t sweat it man – People should realize that financial aid offices are completely separate from admissions offices. FAOs only use grade reports, etc. from AOs to ensure SAP, etc.

Besides, from what I can see, people have not actually been awarded anything by UCLA yet. They post their “unmet need” - but this is automated information generated from your SAR report provided by FAFSA. Correct me if I am wrong though. By being awarded, I mean you have actually been given an itemized list of offers including grants, scholarships, loans, etc.

Our records indicate that you do not have access to use URSA at this time…

Are you a new UCLA Student, a former UCLA Student, a UCLA Alumnus?

You must have your 9-digit UCLA Identification Number associated with your UCLA Logon ID to access URSA. You can find this number:

On your online or paper letter of admission (new students)

On your BruinCard (current students, former students, alumni)

On your UCLA transcript (current students, former students, alumni)

Create your UCLA Logon ID with your 9-digit UCLA Identification Number. If you went through this process and still got this page, please call (310) 825-1091, option 6 during normal business hours.

anyone else have this message!!!

Nope not me. I can access URSA and see my financial aid

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu&^%%#$^%#&^%#!!!

cactusbass- are you trying to create an URSA screename or you have one already?

Are you trying to register an account? Or did you already register an account and ticked the box which said “none of the above: blah blah blah”.

cactusbass- i’m getting the same thing as you. I’m not sure what we are doing wrong

I can also open my Bruin card on URSA now. I couldn’t the other day(my fin aid and doc tracking is complete). I still can’t access the undergrad housing application.

ella89- on my bruin card thing, try clicking on “my account” what do you see?

I made one. Checked none of above. Had the account for a week or so and it’s always said that…

I can get into BruinCard where it lists the stores and such, but I get an error when I push My Account.

You should have checked the first box (something about students) and not “none of the above.” That’s why you can’t view URSA.

And yeah, I get the BruinCard error when I click My Account as well.
