Is there anything we can do at this point (2-2013) to recieve Cal Grant help?

The Cal Grant filing deadline for 2013-14 was March 2013 . . . so, no, you’re out of luck if what you’re looking for is “retroactive" Cal Grant assistance for the current school year.

My understanding, though, if you graduated from high school in 2013, is that you’re still eligible to apply for Cal Grants now (before the March 2014 deadline) for your remaining three years. So, if your 2013 income is below the cut-off, you still have a chance.

Thank you so much! I appreciate your help!

Yes, dodgersmom is correct. It’s important to know that you will need to send your High School GPA Verification asap to CalGrant even if you are applying as a college sophomore. Your high school can do this electronically but it is due NOW!

“Due to March 2, 2014 falling on a Sunday, the deadline is extended to the following Monday, March 3, 2014. The paper GPA Verification form must be postmarked no later than March 3, 2014.”
