2012 AP Calculus AB Test Discussion

@deee2016 - That’s my goal too!

The FRQ’s #2 and i think #5 killed me! And i screwed up one of them because i forgot a negative sign for the diff equation! Kill me now…

One of us just missed a negative. We have different velocity/acceleration functions. Oh well.

F(c)=d
g(d)=c

F’(c)=a
G’(d)=1/f’(g(d))=1/f’(c)=1/a

and the velocity one was 7/4pi as the minimum i think

overall the test was pretty easy imo and i had a good 20-30 minutes to sleep after each section LOOOLLL. a lot easier than i expected and i’m relieved as hell xP

For the shadow questiom i put 6 (D), using the simple ratio and subtracting 4. Choic a,b,c i crossed off because the rate shadow moves has to be faster than the rate the person moves (logic) *coming from a comc canada rank 11 person

The one with the baby bird sucked, the Fahrenheit one sucked and there was another one I can’t remember.

the shadow one was

y/6=(x+y)/15
5y/2=x+y
3y/2=x
3y’/2=x’
3y’/2=4
y’=8/3 or 2.667

I got to play bubble bubble on my calculator after each section for 20 min each

I got 3 inflection points for the written, but do not remembef the amswers

Yeah i got three too, it was like x=-2,0,1 or something like that ><

now that i think it was definitely those three

@BroDudeMan: Ditto. I almost forgot x=1 too. >_<

there was a MC question with the calculator that asked how many inflection points there were. i got 2.

I got 18 for the maximum possible for integral where 1<f<13(dun remember this number)

i got two inflection points for a MC calculator question. anybody else?

This test was way easier than I thought. Our teacher did a very good job of preparing us and almost everyone in our class expected 5s. We had a practice ap test and i got a 88/108. Probably got a near perfect score on this one.

@wka, i think i recall getting one

@meburi, i got 18 as well

@wkalifa52 i think i only got 1
@meburi it was 1<f<6 and 18 was right because 6 is the max # you can get on the function and if you integrate y=6 from (0,3) you get 18 so it’s 18

I got 1 r.p too

i got 1 inflection point

Ya. That was the problem

What was the MC answer where the HA was 2 and -2.

And can someone please compile a list of free response answers? :D
