2012 Engineering Safety schools

hi i'm a rising senior applying to engineering schools in the fall. I have a solid list but could use a few more solid/safety schools. i have a 2370 sat, likely valedictorian, with outstanding ec's and rec's.

here is where i will likely apply as of now:

stanford
penn
cornell
rice
wash u
carnegie mellon
rpi
uc berkeley
johns hopkins

any suggestions for safetyish schools with engineering that i havent listed yet? im looking more for a medium sized university that also has liberal arts for a possible double major.

Schools to Consider:

-University of Washington
-Purdue
-UT Austin

Illinois UC.

Look into Harvey Mudd

Harvey Mudd is a safety for like 10 students in this world.

But that said you ought to check it out.

Harvey Mudd is nowhere near being a safety for anyone, unless you won a medal at an international math/science competition or something. (It is a good engineering school, though.) Also, it’s small and doesn’t have liberal arts majors, so it doesn’t quite jive with the OP’s requirements.

Case Western should be a safety for you.

I second Illinois and Purdue though you may find them a tad big.

@energize
Nobody called it a safety. He just said to look into it. I’m sure the OP doesn’t consider all of the schools on that list safeties. (or he is delusional)

Texas A&M, Penn State, Virginia Tech, Clemson

It isn’t a safety for anyone, but Notre Dame is good for engineering.

^ Don’t suggest ND engineering, he’s going to take my spot now. -_-

:P

Georgia techs an easy safety
