Anybody else taking this tomorrow? ****ed that it doesn't offer the writing portion? I sure am.

Yes, my daughter is taking it tomorrow as well. She’s upset that there is no writing portion either. I wish they would have given the students the option of paying that extra $10 themselves.

Yeah I’m taking it too. I’ll be taking it later to make up for the lack of a writing section as well… how well do you think you’ll do? I’ve been preparing, but probably not nearly as much as I should have considering I can only get mid-20s in my math and science scores.

I’ve already scored a 34 on the ACT Plus Writing. This test won’t do much for me except get me out of senior year final exams and get my picture in the hall.

What did you guys think? Math seemed really easy. Except for the 5 points question.

My daughter thought the test went really well and felt good about all the sections. The test she took on April 14th had a brutally hard science section. My daughter said the science section on this test was so much easier. Too bad it didn’t have a writing portion.

The 5 points question almost got me but I ended up deducing the proper answer : The circle !.

Overall if I didn’t misread any questions I think I got a 36 on the math. Reading was meh - I got anywhere from a 29-34, English I think I can get a 35-36, science I have no idea.

Edit: Does anyone know when the scores on the ACT will arrive by mail? I’m assuming it should be soon since there was no need for humans to grade the writing ( -_- sigh).

yes, when do these scores come out? do they come to the school or student’s home? please advise

It was definitely easier than October, or maybe I just learned more :/

yeah, I had to read the one question like 10 times before it made any sense.

English was much easier than usual, in my opinion. I felt there were less ambiguous questions.

Math was tough due to some wordy questions. I also got a circle for that one. Did you guys get $10.00 for selling the t shirts?

Reading was tougher than usual. The first passage was time consuming.

Science was not bad overall. Pretty standard.

Will we be able to see our score on the ACT Student website as usual, or not since it is not a national test date?

I found English and Math to be the easiest. My pacing was very poor in Reading but I was able to get (somewhat) back on track, Science was… Well, science as usual :)

@statlanta: Yes it was $10!

For some reason I have trouble remembering some of the questions within the reading passage.

What did you guys get for the Wright Brothers one? The one about what was not answered. Also, what was the significance of strontium? I ran out of time, so I guessed age.

My proctor told me that scores would be mailed, and that we should have them in 3-8 weeks. Normally its more like 2 weeks for me, but I’m not sure because those were national tests. Hopefully it’ll be the same.

@collegebound666 how long they had been working on the aircraft was not answered.

In that same section, the other 3 men worked for the safety group (or whatever it was called) and were off duty, correct?

It’s 2 weeks for me as well usually… Hopefully it’s not 8 as I would like to know exactly what I got on this one before I take my June ACT :/

@collegebound

I was running out of time too, but I think I put age for the significance of strontium.

And I can’t really remember the choice for the Wright Brothers one. I think it was something like what how much time they put in researching how to fly? Actually that doesn’t make sense, but it may refresh your memory. It was something along the lines of that

@collegeegelooc

Yes those three men were off duty and helped the Wright bros out on their free time

Was pleased interest another answer, or was it love? I thought it was implied that they were working on it for years… Do you think a -4 might be a 34?
