For the journal passage, did fitfully= haphazardly? I recall seeing a word near fitfully at the very end that was something along the lines of “incomplete”, so I felt like haphazardly would show that they were very disorganized and possibly not even complete. Thoughts?

I have four questions for the reading.

First passage it asked how did the guy feel after he had dinner with the chick. There were 2 possible answers that weren’t bizzare. One of them was pleasant intrigue, and the other was overwhelming love. I put overwhelming love because he couldn’t stop thinking about her in the cab and he was attracted to her. I think I got this one wrong though.

There was a question asking about the time period that the wright brother’s article occurred. Did it take 2 days? A night of flight and a day of recollection or what?

What the hell was up with the strontium? I had 10 minutes to finish the last passage and I tried to skim it fast to find where it mentioned strontium but I couldn’t find it :(. What was the significance of the strontium?

What was the two most important characteristics of the fish teeth? Age and composition or length and something else?

If I remember correctly, it asked which of the following words would least be interchangeable in place of fitfully and the answer to that one was Angrily.

I said spontaneous. sigh -4–>34???

@collegebound

I’m pretty sure it was pleased interest. And typically, a -4 is a 32, maybe it’ll be a 33 if you’re lucky

@garmeth

I’m pretty sure it was pleased interest/pleasant intrigue. He started it off saying that he was surprised he’d be attracted to her, but that doesn’t indicate he was mad in love.

Yes, 2 days.

I rushed too, but I think I put strontium had to do with aging.

Age and composition

What about the fitfully question? I’m at -1 already… ;(
-Mesh bags stop C from leaking
-Prevent outside noise from getting detected
-TT and tt?
-Reward is wrong?
-“Edine” morphed into

In the passage about the boy and girl, was the girl angry that her mother and the guests had forced her to play Jingle Bells?

Yeah, I said she was irritated.

@collegebound666
What was the context of the “Edine”??

Whatever Houdin named himself. For some reason, one of the choices was “Houdin, (whatever the name was)”. Should there be commas in the quote?

Collegebound,

Weren’t the mesh bags there to allow oxygen? I could be wrong though, I’m not sure

air could definitely flow through the mesh bags, that’s how they got the measurement of the gas afterward, something else led me to believe water could come through too.

at collegebound 666, there was a comma inside the first qoute and none after

Shoot. intheowetrust sounds right. Hoping for a 34 now, but it does not really matter, considering that there isn’t any writing.

this test is of no use as most colleges need writing. this test is useful only for schools to get a grade

Sorry for upsetting you, collegebound.

If it makes you feel better this test doesn’t really matter, since it didn’t include writing. From what I can tell, you are looking to go to a pretty great school, and most of them won’t consider your highest composite and highest writing, individually. I was just informed Sunday about this, which ****ed me off since I have taken 3 non writings already.

Oh, I just saw “but it does not really matter, considering that there isn’t any writing.”

I guess you know about it already lol

what was the answer to math question with slope of regression line means?

Mesh bags were to allow movement of water and air right?

Wait, so if we took a previous ACT w/ Writing, can’t we send that one and this one together?

Yes you can send both tests. If you look at the way the common application requests the data, they ask for the highest composite score and then individually the best score by session. When you look at the various schools each have different versions of what they except. The majority of selective schools will look at both and show higher composite, however they will not superscore.

Good luck!
