Does anyone recieve an invitation for PPSP medicine interview?

i did not receive any notification for an interview…i havent even found out if ive gotten into the school
Have you found out if youve at least gotten into the school yet??

Not yet. Maybe we have to wait for a few more weeks for the decision.

According to their website, applicants receive a decision by Feb. 1st and if you are a finalist, then you have to go onto campus for a required interview. But, if you don’t get accepted into their PPSP, then you have to wait until the regular decision release to see if you actually got into the school on March 20th, i think.

The following is directly copied from case’s website:

“Finalists notified Februrary 1
All applicants notified March 20”

Update e-mail:

“On Saturday, January 28, you will receive an e-mail containing a personalized Web link that will take you to a secure page. This page will provide you with the status of your PPSP application. Students selected to participate in the interview portion of the PPSP competition will receive their invitations as well as notification of any scholarship award. We’ll begin sending these e-mail notifications at 12 pm EST. A letter with your PPSP status will be also mailed out on January 27. Students who are not selected for the interview portion of the competition should expect to receive notification of their admission status with our Regular Decision candidates on or before March 20.”

Today should be the day.
Good luck everyone!

Didn’t receive the interview :(. Oh well.

ppsp interview and merit scholarship! found out via email today.

ps did anyone else get a personalized letter? mine mentioned something specific about my app that they said they loved hearing about.

Congrats ferredoxin! I got rejected :/

no interview )’: congratulations ferredoxin! i’m sure your essays were fantastic if they mentioned it in the acceptance letter. do you know how many people they accept? i know they interview 85 but how many make it through?

Congrats ferredoxin! PPSP said no to D. I doubt she will go to CWRU without PPSP even if she gets in during RD

Ferredoxin: I got an interview + scholarship too! I’m so happy. You’re going to the interview weekend right? It’s the same day as the WashU scholarship finalists interviews, which is a little concerning. My letter said P.S. __________. It was personalized at that point. My friends who got in early had the same thing. I think it’s awesome that they do that.
Greengirl: I think they accept a maximum of 12 for medicine.

@benfranklin1 and ferredoxin

Congrats on your interview invitation and good luck. How much merit scholarship did you get from CWRU if you don’t mind posting?

@redyellowblue: I have a full tuition scholarship, not including room and board. Thank you; I’ll probably need all the luck I can get!

yep, it was the PS. I agree, it’s very nice of them to do that. congrats benfranklin!

I’m going to the weekend… I did not apply to Wash U.

Do they really only accept 12 people? That’s so few- I thought I read somewhere that they enroll 20-25 so I assumed they accept about 40… but my source may have been CC which isn’t exactly credible :p

I Actually just saw on some document from Case a few years ago that they accept 20-25, with a 3% acceptance rate. Though, I think that’s data from 2008, so it’s probably dated. Who knows what it’ll be this year. I think it’s 10% of people get an interview, then about 10% of those people actually get it based off of last year’s data. I heard this from someone who is faculty at Case, so it’s not hard data. Who knows…

Did you apply to other combined med programs?

Congratulations to you!

Wow. You really applied to a lot. I only applied to Case and Rice/Baylor and Washu’s Medical scholars program (which will be a deathtrap if I make it in, since it’s so impossibly hard to stay in it).

Congratulations ferredoxin and benfranklin1! D was interested PPSP so doubt she’ll go to CWRU.
