PPSP Question

I applied for the PPSP Pre-med program and I know it is very competitive. If I don't get into the program, does that mean I will not be able to pursue a career in medicine if I choose to go to Case?

no, not at all, it just means that you won’t be part of that program. i don’t know specifically, but it may be possible that you can join the program later. just take the classes you need and pursue med school when the time is right.

Alright, thanks so much!

You cannot join the PPSP program if you don’t get in as an incoming freshman. They do not accept transfer students. But you can still pursue a career in medicine without being part of the program at Case. I know a number of people who have ended up getting into med school better than Case without being part of the program.

Does anyone know when Case will send out PPSP invitations?

Case’s website reads as follows:

“Finalists notified Februrary 1
All applicants notified March 20”

Update e-mail:

“On Saturday, January 28, you will receive an e-mail containing a personalized Web link that will take you to a secure page. This page will provide you with the status of your PPSP application. Students selected to participate in the interview portion of the PPSP competition will receive their invitations as well as notification of any scholarship award. We’ll begin sending these e-mail notifications at 12 pm EST. A letter with your PPSP status will be also mailed out on January 27. Students who are not selected for the interview portion of the competition should expect to receive notification of their admission status with our Regular Decision candidates on or before March 20.”
