<p>I submitted a couple extended versions of my college essays (my common app + one UC essay, and IMHO they’re not as good as the originals) so it’s especially suspenseful because whether I get an award or not gives me a rough idea of how effective/ineffective my essays were T_T Good luck to everyone</p>

<p>Retrohippo, it probably won’t be until noon EST or so tomorrow afternoon. When they posted the national awards last year, it wasn’t until then. I doubt they’d get their stuff together before then anyway, especially since they’ve already pushed it back a day =P</p>
<p>We should know by now. How depressing is that thought? I can’t wait 'til tommorow! Don’t know how I’ll feel about it when I get the results. In my opinion, I have only got a chance of winning anything on one writing piece. My photography sucked! :D</p>

<p>Was it like this last year? I remember that I received my e-mail on February Third… Oh God, I really don’t want to wait four more days… :(</p>

<p>If it’s EST, it’s not midnight for another seven hours. 
I’m concentrating on studying instead. May as well put my hyperactive nervousness to good use.</p>

<p>i received a gold key for my poetry and a silver key for a short story (got an e-mail) but the e-mail didn’t mention my senior writing portfolio submission. are the writing portfolios only judged at the national level?</p>
<p>do you think the NorCal deadline will be pushed back too, since the SoCal deadline got moved to the 7th?</p>
