2012 TAG Thread

It means you’re eligible unless you don’t follow the conditions, and who has had their tag rejected even after completing the conditions? So I consider it practically an acceptance of the TAG, unless I’m missing something.

^ what conditions?

Gpa 3.2

first english by fall
first math by fall
30 units

that’s it?

I got the same email as posted earlier but for UCI TAG…

Some schools only say that they have received your TAG but not if it was accepted or not, nor does it mean it guarantees your transfer. I know that UCD will tell you if they accept the tag.

ferrari:
finishing required classes on assist.org
90 quarter units
2.0 avg for the next 2 quarters.
and first english by fall? I’m pretty sure it was 2nd english composition class.

@amansings i thought the minimum gpa maintained per a semester was bumped up to the minimum of what the tag was. etc like 3.5 for fall and spring for ucsd and 3.2 for uci

Hi everyone! This is my first post here on this site, and I would appreciate it if anyone can give me some honest input and answer my question.

I’m applying to UCD and UCB this semester and hope to transfer in Fall 2011. For my Spring 2010 semester, I received a D for one of my prereq classes because of a family circumstance that I had to attend and I bombed the final. Currently I’m taking the class again for the Fall 2011 semester, and am breezing through it. I’m also in the process of getting my grade changed to a W, if that’s even possible.

What are my chances of getting my TAG approved for Davis? Thanks guys.

Also, my GPA (with the D), is around a 3.1ish, but if it becomes a W, it’s a 3.2 :l

@Cakecup. When you filled out your classes and the grades you’ve earned on your TAG application for UC-Davis, what ‘Assist-Certified Courses’ GPA did you get? It should tell you the GPA they (The TAG reviewers) will be seeing it. You can check it out on your TAG account under ‘My Coursework’ tab.

@ cakecup if you get an A in your current class it will replace the D. and they well recognize that so dont worry. only problem is for B and LA because they look at previous D’s

@lawlking: 3.17; but I’m requesting a grade change for my D to a W this semester, and THAT will make it a 3.34. I’m also retaking this class this semester. The thing is, the TAG reviewers won’t be seeing this change until after they’ve made their decision right? :(

@tomatoman: I don’t think the TAG reviewers can change their TAG decision after the Fall 2011 semester (and I’ll finish my current class in December)…

@cakecup
just because they said yes doesn’t mean that they cant take it back
it says something about if you don’t follow the conditions of whatever than they have the ability to take their tag back
so like if you drop below the gpa or fail a class its revoke-able

@tomatoman: Thanks for your responses so far. But I read this from my TAG application…

Friday, September 30, at 11:59 PM PDT is your last chance to submit a TAG to one of the seven campuses. There will be no extensions! For those of you who have already submitted a TAG, here is the schedule when the campuses will post their TAG decisions. There will be NO appeals to a UC campus’s TAG decision: 11/1: UCSB 11/3: UCI 11/7: UCSD 11/9: UCR 11/10: UCM 11/14: UCSC 11/15: UCD Remember, all students whose TAG is approved still need to submit the regular UC application (Nov 1-30). IF YOUR TAG IS DENIED, YOU CAN STILL APPLY TO THAT CAMPUS THROUGH THE REGULAR GENERAL ADMISSION PROCESS. YOUR FALL 11 GRADES PLAY A BIG ROLE IN ACCEPTANCE/DENIAL. DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL MESSAGE "

doesn’t that mean ucsd is tomorrow? yay!

@iMunster: Good luck to you! ;)

MW3 should keep me busy till next tuesday

Question @ UCKitty:

Since you seem to be throwing down sage advice on this thread, I would like to ask you a question no one, not even my UCD rep, would answer directly. The question is:

So my major is physics (non-impacted) and I was going to start the physics series at my CC but I was advised NOT to start a series that I could not finish at the CC. So I will have 4 assist classes incomplete because of that. So, basically, for a non-impacted major, does not completing the classes on assist adversely affect my chances of getting my TAG approved?

Yes… Why would you transfer as a physics major prior to completing physics?

Has anyone heard from UCSD today??

haven’t heard from UCSD today calibabe :(
