All this talk about fall 2011 transfers, who's getting ready for fall 2012 transferring? i missed the deadline last year because i was not expecting to transfer yet because im a TAG'ing bio major so i'm doing extra science at CC.

....or is there another thread for this? im just getting energetic to finally start my APP soon, ALSO, any TAG'ing tips from those who has already did it?

): I’m already getting super excited about doing apps! And just thinking about hearing back from CAL/LA in April 2012 makes me so jumpy inside ><;;;
Just talked to a counselor from CAL today and I am on track so far if getting out in 2 years is my goal
Ugh, I feel like my life is going to begin once I get accepted to somewhere nice… but for now == I am dreading CC a lot.

Some new people at my school ask me about transferring and I try to give them as much info as possible, but I feel hesitant because things are a bit different now, aren’t they?

@mypinkfriday Waiting lists, GPA changes, possibly being able to TAG only one school, etc. I mean, I don’t know if any of these will be implemented, much less this year, but yeah…

As a TAG transfer this for Fall '11, I’d say go for the fundamental (most demanded at your CC) stuff first: english, maths, major prep, etc. I know it seems obvious, but I put off one of my english classes and almost didn’t complete TAG because of scheduling issues. So don’t put stuff off!

Yep. I’m applying to UCB, UCLA, UCSB, UCSC, SJSU, and SFSU in the fall. I’m not sure about tag, I’ll take a look at what makes most sense in the fall I suppose?

I’m super excited/nervous. I’ll be transfering after 3 years, not 2, because I didn’t know what I wanted to major in. So I’ve been all envious of other people doing it for so long. Finallyyyy. =D

I’m transferring in 3 years as well. I graduated high school in the Summer of 2009 but my registration priority number was low so I was locked out from signing up for classes and they would get filled up quickly. The more units that I took, the higher my RPN became.

I’ve heard that transferring in 3 years is the new norm due to the budget/class cuts in CA.

All I was able to take Fall 2009 was a Humanities class (3 units) and a History class (3 units). I have no regrets though. The Summer units I took really came in handy and I was able to build a strong GPA and focus on my classes.

I’m hoping I’ll be applying this fall to transfer in 2012 but not totally sure yet. I’ll have about 30ish units completed after summer session (assuming I get a class) going to try Chapman U(top choice cause its close to work and home), LMU, UCI, UCLA, USC for film.

was Planning to transfer to either UCLA,UCSD as a Compsci Major or to UCI as a Computer Game Science major which opens up in 2012 for transfer students, but at the moment the assist.org requirement for the major isn’t done and with the coming budget cut im going to smack my head against the desk really hard if there a bunch of new classes i need to take.
