Who do we contact if we want to make changes in the classes we put into our tag information? I am going from De Anza to Davis as a BioTech major. I am worried about the physics because I wont be able to start the series until next quarter so I will only get done with 2A and 2B but I need 2B and 2C to count for Davis 7A and 7B. Id rather take a different course like math or no classes at all and focus on the bio and chem classes. Any help?

Apply for financial aid in January.

ha well since they have been so kind, quite possibly. not sure.

my mom makes 0 income, i qualify for blue and gold.

@UCkittychen

Thanks for the clarification. I called UC Davis today and they said it way okay. :)

haha oh i am DEFINITELY going to apply for financial aid. $30,000/year is crazyyyy!

i qualify for blue and gold…but not pell grants and stuff. i’m going to try for the regents scholarship though. anyone know the regents acceptance rate/avg GPA accepted?

omg…I just found out the Tag the wrong major,
is that I still can change major after i get in?

^ r u trolling? how can you tagged the wrong major? LOL.

yes…i did, I tag nutrition science for my major
but actually i want CLINICAL NUTRITION ~

what about W’s do we need to explain on our regular applications?

clearly you didn’t know the difference between getting a degree in nutritional science and getting a degree in clinical nutrition…
but from what i hear, it’s really easy to switch majors once you get to davis. but you cannot apply for a different major on the regular app than your TAG major, otherwise TAG is voided. just wait til you get to davis, then switch.

yea…before sumbitted i didnt know.
but is it for regular application now i have to apply for nutrition instead of clinical nurti,
right…

thanks…

is this real life?

hopefully get all of this misunderstanding cleared up with Davis…

i was just wondering…is it possible for your tag to not get approved even if you meet the minimum gpa? I just assumed that you get automatically approved if you have the minimum requirements. however, with a lot of people getting excited that they were approved, does that mean that theres a possibility that you won’t get approved? because if you have the minimum gpa, you would already know that you were approved.

or is the excitement just because you guys officially got that guaranteed admission?

also…congratulations!

omg i should have tagged… but back then i wasn’t even thinking of ucs… aah i guess as long as i keep a 3.2 without tag… i’ll be admitted to uc davis. :S

I’m approved, I’m maintaing my GPA and completing my courses, I am guaranteed, if it wasn’t that would cancel the point of TAG…

^ oh i know that once youre approved you’re guaranteed to an admission as long as you keep the requirements.

im talking about when you’re applying for a TAG. is it possible to not get approved for a TAG even though you meet the minumum requirements. im just wondering because everyone is excited that to finally see their results. and i figure if you meet hte requirements you should already know that you would be approved. not that you shouldnt be excited. id be excited too. but its just making me wonder if its the excitement of being one step closer to transferring or if its because you’re not 100% sure your tag will be approved.

oh i see what you are saying, well there are majors you have to complete ALL pre-reqs, some majors you have to complete MOST pre-reqs and some you don’t necessarily. However how many exactly is never specified and people are left in the dark and just do “As many as possible” which the instructions say on ASSIST, and even tho they do as much as they can…it just isn’t enough.

there are other things that arise too.

ah i see. ok thanks for clearing that up cause I got a bit worried when i saw all of your responses because of how excited you guys are. at the moment, im at that minimum 3.2 gpa. so i got worried that even though i meet the requirements, i might not get approved when i apply for a TAG next year because they would approve people first with higher gpas. haha…this is why i shouldnt be on this website :). i get too paranoid.
