<p>my friends called UCSD and they said they dnt care abt when you send in your essay when i called they said its all abt gpa stacking haha i dont knw why they even make us righht an essay but anyhow has everyone turned their essay in?</p>
<p>I turned my essay in. And I believe they do that to weed out some of the “just opting in to see if I get in” people. The extra work deters them from submitting it 
haha</p>
<p>^^ most definitely. I mean if i was an admission officer and I read someone’s essay stating “Got into UCLA my DREAM school. But I want to go 7 for 7 in acceptances” I would not put them high on the waitlist, if at all.</p>

<p>I might be able to give up my admitted spot, but I won’t be declining quite yet; Gonna check out transfer day before I say no; I have a friend, a phd student, who can give me an honest tour around campus, and probably some access to the labs</p>

<p>Yup, it was a difficult decision but I think UCSD is better for me personally.</p>
<p>I promise to join the FB group the second they accept me haha idk why people wouldn’t join.</p>
