<p>absolutely no idea what a qualifying score will be, as that will depend on how everyone does. i suspect it will be lower than high, how’s that for an answer? :-)</p>
<p>Out of the people that took the semifinal exam last year, who thought that this year’s exam was easier? I personally did.</p>

<p>I agree that some of the questions could have been phrased better but I personally liked the topics better. Last year botany was far overemphasized along with genetics, my two weak points. I guess it really depends on the person but I do believe that the cutoff for Finals will be lower than last year.</p>

<p>last year the avg score was about 60(?); but i’m not so sure this year since if part 1 was 1 point each and part 2 was 2 pts each… it’s out of at least 180 points this year… last year it was more like 130…</p>

<p>I’m not quite sure if I got >70% correct but I think that I got a score somewhere in that range. It depends on whether I got correct some of the awkwardly worded questions. I guess we’ll see in a few weeks.</p>
<p>BTW, beware of private messages from CCers (particularly with no or very low post counts) saying they took the exam and their proof is something that is very wrong or is so general that they are just guessing.</p>
