Huh. I didn’t realize it would ever say “in review” on the side. Mine has always said “complete/on time.”
It only says in review at the top of the screen.

I think I’m at around 5 checks today. I will check once more before bed :D

Mine does’t say in review anywhere.

Really no ‘Your application for admission is in review’ anywhere?
which college did you apply to?

Idson your application was only in “completed” status recently, right? Most of us have had ours completed for months. Wait a few days and yours will say In Review too.

@farhan123 I applied to Natural sciences
@sartis you are right, my status just changed to complete no more than two weeks ago. I hope it’ll change anytime to “in review”. It makes me very uncomfortable to know that i am the only one that is out of the review process.

@Idson123

I think you should contact them on Monday just to be on the safe side. They will fix it if there is an error. As long as you did everything you were supposed to do you should be fine.

@ablindwatchmaker Yes, i should contact them. thanks for the advice.

hmm cons should be early. idk maybe its just a blunder on their part

It is most likely a technical problem. I’m assuming they have received everything they need. If so, I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about. Mine changed to “in review” almost immediately after I applied, which suggests that it is not completely manual.

@ablindwatchmaker: You have the single greatest user ID in all of CC. Dawkins is my hero :)

i am so sorry for crashing into this thread… but i had a few queries…

first of all i am an international student from india…

i had applied to ut austin as an international freshman… and got rejected from the cockrell school of engineering(aerospace engineering)

i really would like to go to cokrell…

so i thought why not go to a college in the US and then transfer to cockrell?!..

well i just wanted to ask

is it easier to transfer from a college of the University of Texas system to UT austin?
or is it the same if i transfer from suppose any other state university or private university?

if the answer to the question is yes then what advantages does one possess over other universities ?

They say it’s easier to transfer from say like a UT San Antonio or UT Dallas because have the same curriculum and go on the syllabuses as Austin does. Also it’s more likely your credits would transfer the same would go for any public college in Texas including community. Texas is really picking on picking what they will accept to transfer

Can someone give me their opinion on the classes I am taking? I will have 30 hours by then end of the spring semester, and all my credits will transfer but I am getting paranoid hearing that classes need to have a considerable amount of rigor to be taken seriously, and I feel like mine aren’t because they are the basics.
Fall:
Pre cal
History 1301
Composition and Rhetoric 1301
Music Fundamentals 1301 (I took the art credit because it is a requirement to graduate and it just makes more sense to me to take it at a community college where it is cheaper)
Total- 13 hours

Spring:
Calculus I
Composition and Rhetoric 1302 (Writing Flag)
History 1302
Intro to Chem with Lab
Sociology 1301
Total- 17 hours

As of now I have a 4.0 GPA but it will probably be a 3.87 because of a B in my Calculus class. How does it look? I applied for RTF for first choice and UGS as my second. I also have two letters of reccomendation, one of them being from my Comp and Rhet teacher.

jeb,
you look fine dude. i mean unless you were applying to engring or bus. your stats are very nice. im sure youll be accepted. after your 30 hour completion of course…

btw any acceptance news??? its the 6th! last time a lot of people heard by the 8th

8-

Hey guys do you know if a 3.7 or 3.8 could be accepted into the School of Nursing, or into UGS?

@Hughstan, Jeb
You guys are fine.

@WhatevDude

Thanks! You are the first person to get that reference. I don’t think very many people read nonfiction for entertainment these days. Hats off to you!

I read obsessively, and it’s always nonfiction. In a strange way, it might be argued that Dawkins is a big part of the reason that I’m back in school. There’s more to the story, of course, (isn’t there always?) but I read Unweaving the Rainbow ~5 years ago and just fell in LOVE with science. Hooked ever since. Applying as a non-traditional student to (where else?) CNS. Ed Boyden had a hand in it, too, but Dawkins is The Man. I wish more people would read nonfiction. They’re seriously missing out.

@Hughstan: Lots of other factors matter besides GPA, but 3.8(-ish) is fine. It doesn’t guarantee you anything, but it won’t exclude you from the running.
